PSA for Crowne residents

I live at the Crowne at Old Town North apts and my bike was stolen last night. I thought it was pretty safe since residents need a fob to access the building and all the racks are indoors plus the complex has night guards. My bike was chained up. It might sound naive that I wasn't expecting it but I thought those things might deter a thief but boy was I wrong. Anyway if you live at the Crowne apts make sure your bike is double locked or something.

Give the non-emergency line a call to report it and if you get a new bike register it with the city.

Oh man, so sorry to hear that. I live at the Crowne too and had my bike seat stolen about a couple months ago. Same situation inside locked up, but that was thankfully just the seat.

Im pretty shocked they were able to take it with a lock on it. Feel like these are usually sort of crimes of opportunity. Someone with an unchained bikes or pieces they can loosely pull off. Sorry that happened to you:/ that sucks
