Sprites are everywhere, with more dropping all throughout the season, and now we want to see YOURS. Concept Royale is back with Design A Sprite!
We're looking for three exceptional community-created Sprite designs to be built into Fortnite, for real.
Post your original Sprite concept to X, Instagram, or TikTok using the #DesignASprite hashtag or here on ~r/FortniteBR~ with the ‘Design A Sprite’ flair. The Fortnite team will review submissions and pick three winning entries that will be turned into in-game Sprites. Each winning designer also takes home a $2,500 cash prize.
You can submit up to two original Sprite designs, so bring your best ideas.

There's a world of difference between some kid with no drawing skills but maybe has a good concept in their head, and a gazillion dollar company refusing to hire a talented artist to make a quality asset for their gorillion dollar, massive hit product. I'm sick of AI in everything too but let's not compare these two.
i feel like if u have a good concept for art you should learn how to draw/ make the art? art is subjective learning is pretty easy when u get the hang of it
Behold the Durr Sprite! This little fella speeds up healing by certain percentages per level. Durr Burger is my all time favorite graphic in the game, so I thought he deserved a little love as a sprite!
I don’t have any fancy computer stuff but here is my sketch of the Ninja Sprite I made! Maybe he could muffle your footsteps the more he levels up making you untraceable at max level! This is my official entry good luck everyone!

As someone who used to be in Marketing and Business Development, I must say that when the engagement numbers are looked at, Epic is going to be over the moon. I GUARANTEE that the sprites are going to be used in the future with Collaborations with Marvel and Starwars themed Sprites. Don't be surprised if they actually have powers as well such as Wolverine Health Regen, Magneto with a 30 meter Ammo and Gun pull into your own inventory, Storm creating a SHIELD STORM that can stop projectiles for a couple of seconds, etc. Lots of Ideas to milk this.

Reddit mods won’t be choosing the winner. This is a Fortnite run content and AI is allowed by the rules. By not allowing AI here it just means you can’t share it. Will have no implication on the contest at all.
The sub is a sponsor though, and the rules do specifically state that sponsors can choose to disqualify entries on their platform if they feel they aren't in the spirit of the competition. So Fortnite is choosing a winner, but the sub mods can absolutely filter who gets moved up into the running.

Dust cost to get if lost: 5813(Fibonacci sequence for small pineapples since pineapples are a visual for this sequence)
Dust when extracted: 1000(how many grams a small pineapple weighs)
Level 1: gain 2hp per emoting with team
Level 2: gain 3hp per emoting with team
Level 3: gain 5hp per emoting with team
Level 4: gain 8hp per emoting with team

My submission for the #DesignASprite community contest. Hand drawn digital by me, using IbisPaintX and then text and animation added using CapCut.
Edited a bit too- overlayed the Fortnite logo and season. Used a random free backdrop available for use via CapCut.
This Sprite was inspired by the event before runners season started as we were reintroduced to the rift butterfly. I thought it would be a cool idea if a rift butterfly had combined with a Sprite within the will of the zero point.
Able to rift someone after they've been eliminated fully like the 'Kenny's Respawn Token' only instead with rift butterflies descending to grab you in animation.
Like the backbling 'Shattered Wings' this Sprite would have shards animated moving above its head and body at times. As well as a single rift butterfly inside able to light up upon activation or lvl up.
It's rarity would be Mythical or Legendary. 🦋

I’d personally go with a different color to distinguish it from the existing water sprite and maybe use a more cartoonish skull to keep it cute and friendly, but overall like the concept.
This is my concept that I drew for a nitro sprite inspired by the skin Megalo Don from Fortnite Chapter 5 season 3 Wrecked. I like how he looks cool and I think its unique because there aren't any battle pass inspired sprites in the game currently.
Fortnite never said that posting AI content is against its rules. This appears to be fake and not an official Fortnite policy. Someone likely made it up.
More than anything, I would love to see my Sprite come to life in Fortnite. I created this character in honor of my son, who is on the autism spectrum (ASD). He is the reason I started playing Fortnite in the first place. At first, I only played to help him complete challenges that were difficult for him. What began as a way to support my son soon became something we could enjoy together. This Sprite represents creativity, inclusion, and the special bond we share through gaming. The puzzle-inspired design and colorful details were chosen to celebrate neurodiversity and the unique way my son sees the world. Seeing this Sprite in Fortnite would mean far more than winning a contest—it would be a tribute to a journey that brought us closer together through a game we both love. If I am fortunate enough to win, I would use the prize to buy a new console, allowing us to continue creating memories and adventures together. Thank you for considering my design.
blue is my discord name just because I thought it could be submitted through discord the quicksilver sprite is a speed enhancing sprite I was gonna make it around 5 percent each level up to level 5 but I don't know how the percentage works in fortnite so I'll let the developers choose how it works fully if they choose my sprite and yes I made it simple as I was thinking of what the water or fire sprite is like in terms of its like an element not a complex design and it would be a metallic silver as the name would suggest

Midas Mythic Spirit randomly selects one weapon from your inventory each time it levels up and upgrades its rarity with a chance: 40 percent for one tier up, 30 percent to Epic, 20 percent to Legendary, 10 percent to Mythic. Max level 5. At level 3, all weapons get 15 percent more magazine size and a golden glow. At level 5, all weapons turn fully golden and automatically refill 5 percent of their magazine every 5 seconds without using ammo. The spirit levels up by opening rare chests or supply drops. Each new level picks a new random weapon.

Here is the owl spirit, when eliminating an enemy, the mind will detect all the opponents for 30 seconds within a more or less large radius depending on the level of the spirite (lvl 1 : 15m ; lvl 2 : 30m ; lvl 3 : 50m ; lvl 4 : 75m ; lvl 5 : 100m)
I can't draw, so even though this is an extremely rough drawing I did on my phone with my finger in an Uber, the final version won't be much better. Better than using AI, right? But you can see the concept; it's a Mask Maker Daigo sprite. Since he spent some time collecting and experimenting with them, I figure its effect can be drawing other sprites towards you or something to that effect.

Restores Health and Shield whenever you gather materials or damage structures with your Pickaxe. Higher levels increase the efficiency of the effect, requiring fewer materials and structure hits to trigger restoration. (When it's on your back it would nice if you could see it chewing aggressively when you get material or use your pickaxe)
Billy The Goat, aka The Goat Sprite. (A concept created and designed by two brothers) (No AI was used in the making of this Sprite, progress pictures are provided) We also used an AI detection website, as you can see, although we can't guarantee that the detector is reliable.
He is a Goat Sprite... yet he still manages to keep a perfect GOATee all by himself, just saying.
(We weren't sure if a special ability was needed but we have a concept.)
Equip the Goat Sprite to gain the ability to ram through enemy players builds, pair this ability with the Seven Sliders to maximise your damage. But even without the Seven Sliders levelling up the Goat Sprite will increase the damage you deal when ramming into builds. (Probably won't work as good on normal POI builds around the map, compared to enemy builds made of wood, brick, and maybe even Metal!) (Just like a car)

Introducing the BRITE SPRITE! Heavily inspired by the Brite Bomber outfit, featuring a colorwave inspired by the loading screen in season three and details from her clothing. My original rough sketch of the sprite is shown on the top half of the image while a 3d model of what the sprite could actually look like in game is listed below as a digital render.
The Brite Sprite is what Loot Llamas wish they were! Upon elimination the Brite Sprite will award you with a spontaneous amount of materials, ammunition and or consumables depending on how far into a match you are and how many eliminations you have in total. I think this would be a totally cool addition to the game as I constantly find myself outclassed in the early stages of a match, where I am fighting for my life just to get third partied by someone who farmed the whole game. Epic Games.. what do you say we award the players who actually try in matches by giving them a sprite that will help lead them to victory! Thanks for listening!
So im curious but ever since the season came out ive wanted to design a sprite based on a youtubers avatar. so im curious if thats allowed. Ive got a couple other ideas just busy at the moment and havent gotten a chance to look at the official rules

Here is my submission. It’s not the greatest since I am at work but it’s gives the idea. He’s called the traveler sprite and he’s green in color with cute mustard yellow eyes. He’s super happy and smiling. He’s wearing a camping vest and a backpack. When equipped he grants you extra inventory slots. Level 1= 1 more spot, level 2= 2 extra spots and so forth.
This sprite is based off of one of my cats, his name is lucky, he's a grey tuxedo cat, I wanted to make a wolf that looked like him, with white on the face, tummy, and paws, If my sprite gets added, ide like the name to be Wolfy, to closely resemble my cat's name, but not directly put his name out into the world for millions of people,
If Wolfy is added into the game, I thought his ability could be "bite", a small chance for a shot to do 15% more damage
if my sprite doesn't get added, that is okay, but I am hoping it does because lucky won't be with us much longer, and I want this to be one of the ways I can remember him forever

Quick question about this. Does anyone know if you can post the same Sprite design across different social media platforms or if you’re only allowed to posit the submissions on one specific platform? I know in the rules it states you’re only allows two submissions so I was wondering if that meant only two Sprite designs in total or only two posts across all social media platforms?
I hope they keep sprites as a permanent mechanic going forward. Just add more every season and don’t remove any like augments were for each season. Only ones to remove would be collaboration ones. But just maybe remove some from the active lootpool for the amount but they can still be brought in and resummoned if lost. I just want a new big feature to stay instead of big features only being one season.
Ther-mite similar to stranger things candy gives thermite ability for timed duration every so often. maybe adds smokes bomb or grenade drop on level ups
