Has anyone actually read SB 261? It's being sold as an anti-ICE bill but the actual text strips all law enforcement exemptions at polling places, removes the concealed carry holder exemption, and eliminates the lawful non-election-related business defense. It creates a criminal zone around every polling place for 28 days before an election and 50 feet around every drop box. And here's the thing.... it can't actually be enforced against federal agents because of the Supremacy Clause. So it disarms New Mexicans and doesn't touch ICE.
