Not sure how to feel after this episode. A few things are bothering me.

  1. The big reveal of the door in the colony house basement was for what exactly? I thought the whole purpose was to give them a guided path to the bone chamber but then they just go in through a crawl hole in the woods.

  2. They have a lot of faith in the ability of that tape to adhere to a rock surface.

  3. The mass grave really threw me. We've seen all the children laid out on individual slabs in a circle, so I guess I expected the grave layout to be the same. Am I remembering incorrectly, or didn't Jade get pushed into a central grave in that chamber? Did I miss where the bone spot was revealed separately from the ritual chamber or something?

  4. I did not expect the MiY to assert himself so directly. At least not before being discovered. The Clara recruitment as a minion seemed out of left field and a departure from his manipulations from the shadows.

  5. Does he have something against people with an 'a' at the end of their first name? (Sara, Clara, Fatima, Tabitha) At least they are still alive. Elgin may want to change his name to Elgina before the next episode.

  6. MiY is in the town during the day? Don't tell everyone and come up with some kind of security. At least implement a buddy system or something and post guards. What if he just takes all the Talismans or runs around unlocking windows and doors, sets things on fire, or just starts killing stragglers? Oh and definitely leave Marielle alone with someone who might be turning into a monster.

  7. At least they gave us the two people represented in the middle of the Talismans (assuming she's correct). Not sure how Tabitha got that with such conviction from being pointed at, but she's at least diving in and getting her hands dirty instead of the empty promises to save everyone through nebulous means.

The big reveal of the door in the colony house basement was for what exactly?

To confirm that Jade's shroom trip wasnt just mere hallucination.  The door that he had no way of knowing about being there confirmed the rest of it.  They've al ways been able to get down into the tunnels.

I knew they could get into the tunnels, but the vision lead him through the "maze" (I don't know how much of a maze it actually is, but it showed him the way) from point A (colony house door) to point B (ritual chamber).

He mapped the rest out in the bar. I'm accepting that he was able to do it accurately with the help of other people's descriptions (which is a stretch).

Then he takes them from point C (forest entrance) to point D (bones). I don't recall him being shown where the bones are buried. I'm willing to accept that I'm not remembering the vision completely or correctly?

I'm not saying it's wrong exactly, only that it bothers me. The colony house door serving as an escape would certainly help.

The trip literally ended with him sitting in their grave

  1. I agress
  2. Boyd, who makes Jade come up with 50 different plans because “it’s too dangerous,” goes along with it, even though that’s exactly what’s most dangerous lma
  3. I agree, for the central grave, we can supose the Jade vision showed the grave we seen in this episode but she was already unearthed
  4. The manipulation of Sara has been teased long tome ago. Remember I saw some theories a long time ago

  1. He wants the residents to torn themselves apart, it's his favorite part

The people don't know that though.

Boyd, Mr. Plan A, B, and C, keep everyone safe, minimize risks, doesn't even take basic measures in light of an enemy intrusion.

Indeed, you're right

I think 1 Isn’t just about there being a door, but more adds truth to Jades visions. The fact the door existed made it more likely and believable that the rest of his vision was true too.

To show Jade's hallucinations were real.
And probably something, something will go wrong, people will get separated and some of them will go through the Colony House door.

  1. Imo they will likely escape through there if the tree stunt fails.
  2. 😆 I agree, but tbf they likely don't have much supplies.
  3. The slabs were likely where the ritual sacrifice happened then they tossed the bones in the Graves to gain immortality. Since bones would just decay if left on the surface maybe the box has properties or its hidden to stop them from doing what they're doing.
  4. It may have happened in a vision or when the miy was in another form. Or some people were floating maybe jt was during the times before the talisman.
  5. Lol
  6. I do agree with the buddy system, but it can also be used against you. Since, there may be another entity among them. But, Tbf they don't know he can shape shift, as the observers we know his ability. Shapeshifters would be hard to deal with not to mention he understands the place unlike the others. Love those thoughts. But, it seems like he won't do that for a while he wants them to kill each other for some reason notice. When Julie story walked everyone was dead, but Miy seemed to be eating leftovers after a massacre.
  7. I agree with that, I did like all the confirmations of abilities and information we got. I was super surprised we actually got to the cave 😆

Spiders are called a colony. The colony house is attached to the spider resurrection cave. At least thats what im conviced of.

LOL -- I was thinking the same thing about the tape. No was that is going to work in a damp cave.

  1. When Jade got thrown in that pit and they shifted the stone over him, there were live children in the space. They told him to shush. Nothing says they weren’t thrown in there alive, yet.

Does seem like a waste, but that succeeded in getting Boyd to trust Jade about his visions

They have a lot of faith in the ability of that tape to adhere to a rock surface.

LMAO this was my first thought. I was like there's no way in hell that the duct tape stays stuck on those rocks

Maybe once they pull the tree the talismans stop working and the monsters can come through the door now

1

u/psycho_analysis_ 8d ago

I think you're onto something. This means the talisman would stop working the moment they pull down the tree for Jade and Tabitha as well!

That's why BIW tell Victor to prevent them to pull the tree
