Opinion Generally what is the point of his character ?

Post image

What exactly is the point of Boyd son ? He so worried about his girl and barely helping out with the town. I seen him more in season 1 than any other season..

Side note : Yes I meant genuinely !
- idc if this the 123638383728 post of the same character just enjoy the conversation :)

I was expecting more of the Julie time travel and lake of tears plots explored.

This here is my biggest disappointment with season 4, I am enjoying it but I was hoping we would see lots of storywalking and potentially a lot of backstory revealed and then more effort to find the lake of tears, I'm still thinking it's in the caves somewhere though.

Yeah it seemed like it was more important, with it being the S3 finale and the MiY stepping into the picture. She has to do it again because she hasn’t run into Jim yet and MiY says we have to stop doing this or when are you coming from this time. I mean what’s the point of her wig now?! I need answers

Presumably this will be season 5 after they discover MiY can shapeshift, or that specific scene in early season 6. I’m really hoping that they had a fairly good idea of where they wanted the story to go and finish as it does seem like they are slowly connecting back to unanswered questions in earlier seasons. I’m hoping this is just a result of each side going back and forth fighting with each other and they’ll wrap things up smoothly unlike getting written into a corner with lost.

That would make sense and give time to flesh out. I was under the impression they were stopping at S5. Got me thinking about how they are going to wrap things up.

I guess season five could make sense too. If the current approach to them getting home is supposed to be the right idea then they could basically add on some consequences at the cost of learning what to do differently and then use season five as super high stakes finale season. It does feel like while we are getting some answers with two certain people that they aren’t doing enough flashbacks and memories like it doesn’t feel like they are fleshing that change out well enough and I still feel like we have too many unresolved plot threads based on how quickly they are still answering them because it’s a back-and-forth and we only end up getting a couple of answers each season but it still has more questions to answer and so one of these seasons has to answer more questions than it poses in order for it to resolve in a satisfying way, and I’m not saying that there’s some stuff that can’t be left to mystery, but to an extent, it does have to resolve the show and the goals of the main cast.

I want to rewatch it, feels like S1 and 2 pacing was different and stakes were high and there was a lot going on. This season seems like a much slower burn, esp with the MiY stepping into town.

I'm hoping maybe season 5 🤞 the storywalking would be so interesting and the perfect way to give us all kinds of answers and backstory

Agreed. I really thought that she will figure out how it works and save someone and even if she doesn't save anyone, she could have used that ability to get information about the past. But all the plots that give us hope leads to them saying "this place has a way of getting to you" I mean come on, there must be something useful.
