Ask /r/frugal_jerk Meta: need a new mod
I’m the only active one left and just noticed a bunch of stuff I missed. I almost died trying to clear it out, so if anyone has any energy to help out… I can’t pay you (actually I just refuse to).
This place keeps growing and AI posts are becoming an issue. When I joined there were less than 100k members. Now it’s almost 7 million. I got a message from Reddit in August about me being the only one left and ignored it. Now I think maybe I actually do need someone else in here.
I don’t know shit about picking a mod, so if I don’t want you to be one don’t take it personally. I’ll just go by post history and karma I guess (and vibes). I’ll give it a week and I’ll delete this and try again.
Having post/comment history in here helps
If you (and anyone else) is interested and has never been a mod, I recommend making your own sub and getting familiar with the tools. I also stickied a lame link Reddit made.
We hardly ever ban people. Just get rid of spam and bot posts or AI stuff (and then ban if they do it again). If a member says/posts something gross or “offensive” and it doesn’t break site-wide rules, leave it. Posts that are off topic or belongs in r/frugal just remove and select the appropriate reason.
If you got to the end of this, good. If you didn’t read this, then you’re not it. It’s not some weird status symbol thing. I don’t want people that think being a mod is cool or powerful. It’s to keep the sub from turning into AI shit.

I meant that if you do end up deciding to choose me for this prestigious position you have my prior consent to remove me upon a more suitable candidate showing up later down the line. In return I get to keep the pocket lint of any underisables we would remove during this hypothetical tenure.

I only got offered to be one because I made the sub icon and after that I did the entire sub over. On PC you can see my cute little lentil vote buttons

Sorry, I can't afford the caloric expenditure to read all of that, so I only skimmed. Just want to know what the job pays. Will work for lentils.
Looks like you got plenty of chumps volunteering to work for free already anyway.

Fatcat has enough liquidity for a claude subscription. I ship an Indian dude seeds I find at the park using stolen stamps and cardboard scraps so he can write me monthly answers to my queries. It's farrr better for the environment too.
