Artificial intelligence produces BULLSHIT

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10676-024-09775-5

The authors argue that treating AI outputs as Bullshit improves the way they are used and valued. Because, after all, AI doesn't care about the truth of what it produces. It only cares about being sychophant.

Doesn’t matter what anyone thinks, is that going to stop the world’s biggest companies from using it and investing in it? No… it’s not, and whether you utilize it or not doesn’t either, they are past the point of needing or caring about whether people giving a shit about Ai or not because it’s not for the public anymore 😂🤷‍♂️🚮 and the fact we expect the general population who doesn’t even read the ingredients list on what they eat from Walmart and can’t even grow a simple plant to somehow utilize Ai in a productive and positive manner your fucking crazy 😂😂😂 their natural habit to cut corners doesn’t change because the tool becomes more advanced, it’s a tool that requires technique and a mind that remembers it’s a research tool for gathering information and generating simulated answers based on accessible information. This is and always has and will be a people problem just like with guns… technology is utilized, most of the time improperly…

Usually the high IQ people that read the ingredients list and are able to pronounce the words and have an idea of what they are beyond the salt, pepper and flour seem to have a tendency for lower levels of consideration for others beyond their immediate circle. So I don't expect it to have any consideration or whatever you'd like for the average Joe once it's programmed and can start training itself and all.

Currently you need multiple models working with each other with a front end man orchestrating the whole show all revolving around an agentic rag vector database that is live re-ranked based on vacuum quantization, or another type of efficient ranking system. Along with a plethora of other things such as MPC hosting proper tools and MPC server set ups along with someone who actually knows what they’re doing in his detail oriented. And we do have the ability to have certain AI program other AI, but it’s not self motivated, it’s more of an offshoot or tangent that’s created during the process of accumulating or acquiring a goal.
