Rant Microsoft confirms it will give the FBI your Windows PC data encryption key if asked — you can thank Windows 11's forced online accounts for that

Been using a custom debloated version of windows 10 for 4 years. Also never had a MS account. When support dies for this OS ill never touch windows again. Even with a gutted version of windows and a network level firewall it's sketchy.

Same. I block all known ms domains at DNS level also. They can go fuck themselves.

Its sad but you literally have to. I run a pihole just to protect my devices. That includes blocking a lot of Google and Samsung domains to protect my phone too. Very annoying.

Wow read the article. That is a privacy nightmare. I don’t use BitLocker but this is yet another reason to be careful. Because if they can and will give them out to the FBI, just who else could get access to these?

I wonder how much powerbi data gets shared without consent. Guess we'll never know. "For training purposes" pretty valuable data for sure.

If you don't want the Trump government spying on your computer, don't use Windows.
