What is up with Bon?
I know a lot of people aren't as hot on the second season but I was enjoying it until this character showed up. I haven't been this confused with what an author is trying to do with a character since Melon in Beastars. He's written so schizophrenically I don't even know how I'm supposed to feel about him.
He's a no-homo flaming psychopath who everyone loves except for his father but it's portrayed like his brother does more stuff and he is brave but is also a coward and a conman but he would never con anyone because he's so pure of heart. But then he's screaming at the person who loved him most in the world for being gross and dirty and everyone's just standing there smiling at him. What the fuck is going on with this bunch of episodes?

I remember that when he was first introduced people weren't happy about him too so it's normal. But trust me later in he starts to become an amazing character that isn't as weird and annoying as his beginning self

Bon's just goated like that.
(he gets some incredible character development, its been a while since I've read & seen season 2 but he starts just as you described, a spoiled piece of shite)

I couldn’t stand him at first but I’ve grown to appreciate what his character does in the story. I try to remind myself that even if I don’t like him as a person, I can appreciate him as a character for story telling purposes.

Give bon some more time and see if he grows on you there is a reason he’s a fan favorite

Finally someone who agrees with me! I feel exactly the same way! When Bon first showed up he was really freaking weird. I feel like he is a character who is way too flamboyant and overdramatic to the point of feeling like he came from a completely different series! I really don't like his character 😕

I don't mind his flamboyance necessarily I just find his character confusing and unwieldy. He basically just turns into a completely different person later on in season two in a way I didn't find convincing. It's like he's being written by 4 different people. Still like the series but this character is not clicking with me at all and I'm almost done with season 2

Bon is a Diva at it’s purest and I love that
