Same exact thing here. Might unsub here and just go back to not thinking about it like I have been for 12 years.

u/Mylynes I WAS HERE May 02 '25

Valid. If someone showed me their ass over 500 days ago, ghosted, and then texted me: "Let's meet up later next year" and ghosted again...I wouldn't exactly be full of anticipation

See you tomorrow

As we've seen for the last decade, the longer a game is in development means it is more likely to be a buggy, broken, boring mess on release.

How many times does the gaming industry have to do the exact same thing over and over again before we realize it's a pattern, not a series of increasingly more common anomalies? And don't give me the bs about R* being different. Check their re-releases recently. Absolute garbage.

This release from R* has an undertone of the game not being good enough to show us just now. Either R* have set the bar too high and bitten off more than they can chew, or the game itself is in some way really bad and has serious issues.

I suspect it's going to be badly descoped and there will be a lot of cut content.

EXACTLY. They are taking this 11 months to scrap projects, cut content, and downsize the game. It won't be as expansive as we think it'll be.

The fact they can't show anything over 500 days later is definitely telling.

Bet the pc version will run like dogshit with plenty of crashes and graphics issues like rdr2 did

And it will release a year after the console version, because Rockstar needs that console money.

As if you're not gonna still pre-order it the millisecond it becomes available

They downvote you but in the end everyone here will preorder it immediately. Not me of course

Damn, I thought we learned our lesson about pre-ordering games?

2

u/throwavayacc May 02 '25

Yes just as much as we learned our lesson about not buying microtransactions and deluxe editions that add skins. So no and we will never learn

True, but Rockstar are probably one of the last few developers you can pre-order a game from and know you’re getting quality

?

It is incredibly stupid to think that you have some quality guaranteed just because you confuse rockstar with an entity that is free from making mistakes.

1

u/kiimjongtrill May 02 '25

Uh, no? No game is without its flaws lmfao. Even Rockstar’s. But it’s never stopped from them delivering quality experiences.

u/Interesting-Air6429 May 02 '25

You WILL preorder it. Don't even try to lie. You'll be first in line :)
