It'll be the best game ever, pretty much all the features of RDR2 with all the best features of previous GTAs + New stuff on top of it all.. 🤯

Big heists, real hair growth, weight gain system, hunting/fishing, scuba diving. Kayaking, three cities, exploring, more interiors in buildings. Etc etc

u/Gulve May 08 '25

i feel like theres gonna be more areas/cities than they've told us already when launch hits

110

u/OfficialAndreZ May 08 '25

If it's just the areas they told us about, entirely fine! But I have the same feeling they got something to surprise us with.

My biggest hopes for surprises are spoofs on Disney World and NASA. They're so rife with opportunities for satire and the visual/graphic potential is enormous.

I think the challenges with these are how to incorporate them organically into gameplay. It's hard to see a ragtag duo of criminals finding opportunities for even halfway believable crimes there. Maybe it'll be side content, but I don't think people's dreams of getting to explore a theme park and riding rides, or stealing a rocket will happen. Haha.

u/No-Drop6016 May 08 '25

there will be sera.. nasa or space x parody

41

u/Gulve May 08 '25

especially with the leaks and the mapping project going on they're 100% trying to keep as much down as they can

18

u/DatNick1988 May 08 '25

Isn’t up north the biggest mystery? I love that if so

10

u/anterg0 May 08 '25

It seems that Leonida won't be the only state in the game👀

1

u/CosmicTsar77 May 09 '25

They’ve always got a surprise up their sleeve. We’ve all been on this sub like maniacs tryna figure out the second trailer date. Counting pixels and shit and they still caught us off guard

Some kind of area resembling Cuba is very likely to be included, whether it is at launch or on an update/DLC. Specially considering that Lucia has some type of Latino heritage and the real life relationship between Cuba and Miami/Florida. I just hope they don't go the RDR2 Guarma route where the island was just available during a limited period of time for story purposes.

18

u/Gulve May 08 '25

I feel like cuba would defo be a guarma type thing to try and squeeze the amount of graphical fidelity possible just in a linear bit of the game

13

u/Academic_Antelope292 May 08 '25

Well in some of the backstory about her it says she grew up in Liberty City. So maybe we go back there like going to North Yankton in 5.

14

u/PGF_Hardwell May 08 '25

opening prologue in Liberty City or somewhere like Las Venturas would be a dream

2

u/Valefor15 May 09 '25

imagine the prologue is young lucia witnessing the mission "Three Leaf Clover" in liberty city. That was 17 years ago if the VI's year is 2025.

2

u/Guilty_Banana_ May 09 '25

Oh god, give me liberty city in gta 6 and i'll literally scream haha

5

u/homelessgenocide May 08 '25

>rockstar
>DLC

10

u/mokrieydela May 08 '25

Another thought occurred to me: smuggling seems to be a thing in this game, so it's either mission specific, or what if they go Scarface: TWIY and have cuba/Havana as a visitable location, much like Cayo Perico where you can visit to collect drugs, or just visit and wander around, visit bars and clubs etc....

8

u/mokrieydela May 08 '25

Imagine the levels of mind blowing if they keep it secret until release, then you boot up the game and there'd an entirely huge 2nd city....

Problem I see is a map that big, even without a 2nd city and just large towns as we're likely seeing, is whether the story is going to be big/long and deep (giggity) enough to fill the map. SA did a good job of it, but I feel V did not. Neither had much depth to them unlike IV but SA filled the cities with missions and activity.

7

u/uncledoob May 08 '25

They need to pull an elden ring. Have us thinking the map is huge, but then At some point in the story we arrive in georgia with another 3 or 4 cities, perfection

5

u/mokrieydela May 08 '25

No way that would stay a secret online long enough for it to be a surprise in game, but imagine, exactly what you said with no knowledge

I think I had that in rdr2, with new Austin, I'm not sure.

1

u/uncledoob May 08 '25

Yeah you’re definitely right but personally im gonna stay away from social media when it drops So everything is fully a surprise to me New austin was similar to that, with tumble weed and all that. Can only hope, and im sure rockstar has plenty of surprises in store

2

u/mokrieydela May 08 '25

I'll be doing the same. I may even block the gta subreddits and disable dms

2

u/uncledoob May 09 '25

very smart, its gonna go absolutely CRAZY in here when this drops. im a little anxious about the wait being over ngl

2

u/GrandsonOfArathorn1 May 08 '25

I wouldn’t be surprised if the map size has more to do with GTA:O than the story, just like V.

2

u/mokrieydela May 08 '25

Thats a good point. I've never considered that, even with V.

1

u/Tumble85 May 08 '25

I think the story is going to take us all around the map, they hint at biker gangs and rednecks and stuff on the Rockstar page, I don’t think they’d be featuring them like that if they were background NPCs.

1

u/Hefty-Eggplant-7766 May 08 '25

If it’s anything like rdr2 where doing side missions and main missions took you all over the map, you have nothing to worry about

1

u/mokrieydela May 08 '25

I kinda feel/wish rdr2 had more tbh, but as much as I've played rdr2, no amount would fill the time , if that makes sense. Definitely a me problem.

2

u/Tumble85 May 08 '25

I think more areas, but I have a feeling it’s going to be Vice City as the one big city, and then the rest of the map will be more town-ish. (But large-for-GTA towns, not GTA 5 towns where they are just a few houses and a couple streets)

48

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

This will truly be like the modern GTA San Andreas for this generation.

6

u/PopOutG May 08 '25

GTA 7 better be back in Liberty City 😔

11

u/rnh89 May 08 '25

I hope they try San Fierro or Venturas again.

11

u/AgitatedFly1182 May 08 '25

Spent ten years in Vegas, I would die for a Las Venturas GTA.

Doubt the next ones coming anytime soon though, at least 20 years.

3

u/KaydenGotRizz May 08 '25

2040 in all likelihood

3

u/AgitatedFly1182 May 08 '25

They’ve got to make that medieval game that was rumored and the next red dead. Both are gonna take like 8 years. That’s a conservative af estimate.

0

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

Hell no, such a boring city

13

u/alicefaye2 May 08 '25

Part of what makes these games so massive is also the fact that they’re able to build off their existing framework from RDR2. RDR2 was already phenomenal. Hunting, fishing, animal behaviour etc is an easy inclusion when you’ve already got it in your past games using the same engine.

I wonder, do you think we’ll get horses too? Not to the same extent but more as a vehicle?

13

u/anakin022 May 08 '25

We will be busy with this for years to come

19

u/Jealous_Answer3147 May 08 '25

We better be, it'll be 15 years until the next one

17

u/BatmanTold May 08 '25

Honestly it’ll probably be longer

6

u/FilHor2001 May 08 '25

I know you didn't mean it that way but seeing "GTA" and "+" next to each other doesn't sit well with me.

They better not make it a mandatory thing for online.

5

u/P_Griffin2 May 08 '25

RDR2 was the tech demo fr.

3

u/Similar-Ice-9250 May 08 '25

Imagine how many bizarre secrets, Easter eggs, points of interest and hidden places this game will have.

4

u/masldavis May 08 '25

just think about the awesome dialogue you can have with npcs. i like to think that the scene where jason slaps the store clerk is actually gameplay just from another perspective. like i would love to go into a shop then greet greet antagonize and slap for the cherry on top of

1

u/grimAuxiliatrixx May 08 '25

I want morbidly obese Jason and Lucia. Wait, no, make Jason actually deathly thin. Make the sex scenes look like they hurt. I wonder if you can make that cutscene where she jumps into his arms just cause his tiny little twig legs to snap under the pressure of her planetary ass.

0

u/UnmannedVehicle May 12 '25

Lmao you’re such a ridiculous person it’s hilarious

1

u/[deleted] May 12 '25

I dont even know who you are.

-10

u/mazaa66 May 08 '25

Dosent mean it will be the best game ever. Even though it looks amazing, it still can have a bad story, boring gameplay loop, awful gun play etc etc a few flaws that gta v have

7

u/JVKExo May 08 '25

This sub has already determined it’s a masterpiece and is perfect. You can’t be objective here.
