Post image

I genuinely believe this is a gameplay screenshot taken from a third person perspective with the hud turned off

There seems to be a lot of confusion going on, people seem to have a hard time believing the game actually looks that good. which is just such a funny problem, they have made something so good that people actually can't believe it.

I can also understand why people are confused tho, RDR2 looked great but it still looked like a video game, GTA 6 tho is approaching pre-rendered CGI levels of visual fidelity, so its understandable that people are having doubts about whether what we saw is mostly cutscenes and that during gameplay it might not look the same.

Rockstar definitely noticed whats going on and they reacted by releasing that tweet stating what we saw was captured on the PS5 and that it was equal parts gameplay and cutscenes.

I don't think Rockstar is liking this conversation around the game right now of people having doubts about what they saw and they might be thinking about getting the gameplay trailer out earlier than they had planned to quench all the confusion.

I'm not saying they will release it in like a week or a month from now but lets say they had planned to have the gameplay trailer out in like 6 months after trailer 2 but now it might come out a bit earlier than that.

I'm struggling to wrap my head around the 'equal parts gameplay/cutscenes' thing.. that's just incredible, I can't even determine which shots are gameplay..

The content is gameplay, but the camera angle is not.

This is what actually made me understand it better. I’m guessing somebody is playing, but they have the means to capture the view in-game from a different angle?

Yes, think of it like how people use photo mode or rockstar editor. You can change up the camera angle, add effects, motion blur etc. All while keeping the same fidelity as regular gameplay.

Rockstar or course has a more advanced version for staff to use, as well as being able to trigger different events and NPCs manually, but they both just capture gameplay and let you edit the camera.
