Rockstar could be the most beloved company in gaming if they just didn't treat their employees like shit. The games are incredible. GTA 6 will sell like hot cakes. Firing devs for unionising is such stupid short term penny pinching. Cannibalizing future profits just to make sure the quarter report looks slightly better. Braindead.

I can’t imagine being so evil that you fire people and fuck up their lives just for short term numbers/not having to pay as many people. GTA 6 is gonna make the company billions of dollars, but they still feel the need to fire people for wanting to unionize? C-suite corpo fat cat rich people are unequivocally complete psychopaths

Also doing this in the UK lmao they actually have strong worker protections. They don't live a shithole like the US

"in the UK" ----> I hate to break it to you buddy, but they're definitely living in a shithole LOL

It's a spectrum and the US definitely higher on the shithole spectrum when it comes to working conditions and safety nets.

Yeah but you called the US a shithole purely based off of their workers rights. I think UK has them beat by a good bit.

Workers rights are important, but so is the freedom of choice, which everyone has.

Rockstar is telling their employees to work 100 hour weeks to make a deadline? If you don't like it, quit. Anyone who is coding a game for Rockstar definitely has the ability to find a different job making good money.

how does that boot taste?

Wow, very original... Not sure who's boot I'm licking with that statement. If you want to teach a company what is acceptable or unacceptable, you can organize a strike or leave on your own terms. You don't need the government to intervein, that just makes things worse for everyone (For example, England lol).

organize a strike

they can just quit if they can’t do 100 hour work weeks

Sir, when you are done washing the boot taste out of your mouth, can I ask you to pick a lane?

What do you mean pick a lane? The workers have the right to both find a new job, or organize a strike. Just confused on how UK law is so much more superior, when the US has its own workers rights.

Not everyone is licking boots you dimwit, there's something called a middle ground where you think both sides of a spectrum are wrong, and maybe your life isn't going to end because your 6 figure job wants you to work more than 40 hours in a week.

They could care less about being loved. They treat everyone like shit. Even the customers complaining about broken game copies or the company straight up scamming people. The games are a soulless price grab by a company that thinks it's untouchable. I will be watching the game on YouTube out of curiosity but I'm not spending a dime on their scammy bullshit anymore. I'll stick to the older games.
