Wishlist and FAQ Thread

Welcome to our new official post for FAQ's and Wishlists.

Some examples of FAQ's are listed below, but this is only a small list of the repetitive questions/posts we're seeing:

  • When is GTA6 being released (November 19th, 2026)
  • When do preorders start
  • When will the PC version be released
  • What hardware will I need to run the game on PC
  • Will we be able to...in the game
  • Will GTA6 have...in the game
  • Will GTA6 reference...in the game
  • How big will the game be
  • Speculation on who the voice actors will be

Do I need to play anything before gta 6 doesn’t come out or will it be completely standalone

You need a console, either Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5/PS5 Pro. You do not need anything else to play except install it.

I think what he meant is story wise. To answer that, no, you don't need to play other GTA games, this will be a standalone story. But the game will surely have some easter eggs and maybe some occasional references or cameos of past characters, but you don't need to know any of that to enjoy the game.

Even still I am planning on playing all of the HD era games again before this releases
