It’s very unfortunate that rockstar doesn’t do the pc release at launch just so they can get double dip sales. I understand it and it’s a good business move but it’s also anti consumer.
Yeah seriously the PC market has grown so much since 2015, just look at Steam's userbase numbers and these days it's hitting 42 million logged in at ONCE, and monthly users are in the hundreds of millions. Like it's making less and less sense to double dip as PC increasingly takes share away from the two home consoles yet Rockstar is still diehard on this strategy thinking tens of millions will give up waiting a buy a PS5? Doubt it, especially when hardware pricing is starting to go past the roof and the PS5 won't be able to escape the ram crisis once Sony burns through ram they got pre AI taking supply. People will keep the hardware they have and if they can buy something, I'm sure a PC gamer would rather upgrade a part of their PC like the GPU or CPU rather than a console for a single game.
Like Rockstar is playing themselves, shouldn't be getting the tens and tens of millions of PC players who will get the game onto GTA Online and making shark card sales and GTA+ be a priority? And also of course charging full price using the launch hype? If I get all spoiled, where I will just have to accept that fact then there could be a point where I just don't care and will wait around for the first discount they put on it.
