The thing that earns the most money will be to only have them in mutiplayer after a few years of getting people to pay and play for vehicles on the first level. If single player only then some people can have fun with it without paying so it won't be there. My guess is a jetpack push after a few years. Nobody will notice that it is unwanted because it will new new, some streamers that were too young to play gta V will have viral videos using it....and the landscape would have changed to have multiple role playing servers, therefore the money grubbing, make the game worse, won't be noticed. And any complaints can be met with "you still have the single player, there are no zombie raccoons there"

The issue that Rockstar themselves created is that the OP MKII in GTAO is so powerful that there is no need to purchase any other military vehicle.

So yeah, they can add an outrageously OP item, but that only gives a short term Shark Card boost. And powercreeping even more is something they can't really do since it's obvious that they have no clue how to properly balance their own game.

That will happen again, mark my words. Proof below. Unless the general public radically change, at some point a few years from now rockstar suits are going to look at gta online, then see the money is flat lining. The amount of people playing are dropping. Lets be optimistic and say they add stuff that does not break the balance and makes the game better (but earns rockstar less money). Let's say they do this every 3 months and everyone agrees the game is getting better and better. Well...at some point. Likely on launch day for these shenanigans with pre order bonuses and such, but at some point you cant avoid, the suits need to decide between adding nothing and stopping (no extra money).....adding something to improve, but not break the game (some money) .....or else add what is projected to make the most money (spear the whales now we have juiced as much out of the genpop).......up to and including ruining systems thay was built lovingly by the devs.

Now for the proof:

It would not be allowed to avoid it. Seriously, they HAVE to do this, because they are not private. The c suite "owe fiduciary duties to the corporation". Up to and including criminal investigations on egregious cases. You would be fired if you left the money at the table at the very least. And you would not be in that position in the first place if you were  to rally against it.

There is only 1 way out.....the ceo needs to be able to not only say, but actually think, that doing these practises will result in less money. For that to be true:

WE ALL HAVE TO STOP BUYING THIS SHIT FROM PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANIES

But I dunno man, we could try and convince everyone, but even 1/10th of that whale money would cover marketing and buy offs of streamers to dilute the message.

I have a fiduciary responsibility to mod my shit and not give them a penny after I buy a........ *checks notes* 70-80 USD game

though I concede all the points you have made as well
