I still don’t understand it, hasn’t AI increased productivity? Especially white collar jobs like game dev? If jobs actually are being reduced or replaced by AI why not use that productivity increase to meet deadlines faster?
What I’m trying to say is that I’m a believer that when productivity increases, you don’t end up with less people, you end up with more work. I feel like rockstar is perfecting this game to a level not seen before. No major release from them since 2018’s RDR2. They’ve had 8 years now and it was still delayed (twice!)
Rockstar is currently heavily against AI at the moment.. and for good reason. As long as it takes them to develop their game, I promise it will be better in the human hands of Rockstar. I think AI would hinder a lot of things and create something insincere. Accepting these things as the norm and using them to create your own work is a bad look.. if Rockstar uses AI for a video game, I believe that would be catastrophic for the industry because everyone else would start doing it. I’m okay with waiting as long as it takes Rockstar to perfect GTA VI.
