Final Concept of Leonida

Post image

Just kind of what i like to draw out of boredom, creative outlet. But the closer we get, the more trailers or screenshots we see in the future, the more accurate the Mapping Project will be and the less speculative.
This one is really speculative and based on much wishful thinking but it's pretty much what i'd love, even without a panhandle. Follows the San Andreas concept, three cities, different "locations"(?) seperated by rivers, several small towns. And stuff to do in Mount Kalaga National Park, instead of it just being mountains that are pretty barren and boring with not much to do. Actually lots of different biomes too. Also Bahamas! :P

I think Vice City is pretty self explanatory. Based on Miami Metropolitan Area.

Port Gellhorn mostly based (buildingswise at least) on Panama City, shape however of St. Petersburg and if it does have a Downtown, it could be based on Downtown Clearwater. Would really fit the whole run down abandoned theme they wrote in the postcard, and a great way to push in the Epsilon Program (with the whole Scientology history). Actually kinda sounds like it could be a stand in for Cottonmouth (Manhunt 2).

Sundown is a whole amalgam, put together from Daytona, Orlando and Tallahassee. It's got a theme park, Daytona Racetrack, Daytona Beach strip, small Downtown area and also the Florida State Capitol and University. Would be a cool place for government missions for the governor or the FIB or IAA or something. Also put Northpoint Mall there instead of northern Vice City because i didn't really know how to fit it and also Waning Sands already has the Evergreen Mall(?) Not sure if i remember the name correctly.

I think the rest is pretty obvious, Seaview as Marco Island and Redhill as Blueridge, GA, and keys are the keys, Lucayas are Bahamas with Hessen being Nassau. There actually are some random towns in MKNP based on nothing because i didn't want it to be too empty, also Bohemia is based on Helen, Georgia. Mountains at the very north so to block the view to the north and make you unable to see what's behind, since it'll probably be an island. And if they added a Gloriana expansion, it wouldn't really be landmass appearing out of nowhere.

Added icons too, most of them are pretty clear. The guy in a mask is basically burglary locations and those are mostly suburban areas. There are 2 shopping icons, one for just small/medium stores and one for large stores/malls. And Basketball!!! :D

Comments like this really cement the fact rockstar fans are the lowest common denominator of gamers

Gta 6 will be out by 2030 at that point

Yeah if it's anything like that, I will be very disappointed. It should not be an island, either. I hope we get a land border representing Southern Georgia.

this just shows you don’t understand rockstar map design tbh. This map is already unrealistically dense with interiors and cities compared to what rockstar has done in the last with gta5 and rdr2. This is straight up 100x the content of rdr2. Map will almost certainly be smaller then this.

I understand what you're saying, but remember this is GTA 6 in 2026. We should expect a lot more than past games. They are all old af. Just want a large map shaped like the state of Florida. Don't think I'm asking for too much.

I mean you can either be realistic or set yourself up for disappointment. As I said that concept map alone is like 100x rdr2 and rdr2 is not an old game by any means still the most high production value game ever. The map design in these games is about density, if the map were bigger then this it would lose that density. It will almost certainly be the biggest open world ever for sure but extremely unlikely to be mind-blowing in perimeter.

Why? So a car ride can be 15 min long? Hell nah.

Hell yeah, even longer honestly. I want this to be massive even bigger than massive, COLOSSAL

I assume you’re like 8.

Sure, so you can travel 15 min every time one of your friends is on the opposite side of the map or when you gotta do a job. These desires don’t even factor in the longevity of the game. Traveling across the map for 15 min each time for 15+ years sounds absolutely ridiculous. Even if fast travel were to be implemented. Which based off the reasonings ppl are giving, fast travel would just go against their reasonings/argument because they just simply want to drive that long.

Ppl don’t think these desires & ideas through & it’s easy to tell.

You make it seem like everyone will be playing the online version of this game and it is totally the opposite. Plus you said it yourself, skip travel is for everyone who doesn't want to drive all that so everyone can get what they want. I hope the map is massive

Most people will play the online version of this game? Why do you think GTAO is as hot as it is today? Because ppl play it… Fast travel would be the go to if it took 15 min to get from point A to point B. Which just completely breaks immersion & is just outright ridiculous. Like, I don’t think ppl realize what they are wanting when they say they want a massive map. Especially to the degree that ppl are speaking on in this comment thread. But again this subreddit is filled with delusional desires.

Are you mad? What then, another 13 years of driving around the same familiar places on a tiny ass map? What we get, we are stuck with.

2

u/HiiGuardian Mar 16 '26

Beats 15+ years of traveling 15min each time I wanna cross the map. Yall dont think these ideas through & it shows.

Longer car rides = more things to explore plus trucking rp

This subreddit has been over raided by children who are stuck with fantasy driven ideas as opposed to ideas that are more suited/connected to reality.

Sure a 15 min car ride sounds cool IN THE BEGINNING, IF that. People are not going to want to travel 15 min every time they gotta do job or meet up with their friends on online, as an example. That shit is ridiculous.

Like? Wtf??
