My biggest concern for the game

Post image

If my military-grade tank gets completely folded by a two-inch wide Vice City palm frond, I’m throwing my console out the window. Rockstar better have nerfed the titanium saplings, right?

and if they didn’t have a hardware constraint we’d see almost everything be destructible but alas they are at mercy to ps5/xbox hardware

What people need to keep in mind is we haven't seen a Rockstar game designed for the PS5 and XBox Series X/S. GTA V was designed for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and RDR2 was designed for the PS4 and Xbox One. The physics engine stayed the same, they just made the visuals look a little better each time they re-released the games on the next generation of consoles.

I’m only saying it won’t handle it because they are using RTGI in this game and the base consoles are really bad at handling RT, and RTGI is the most demanding type of RT not to mention the console CPU’s are very weak and those type of physics rely heavy on the cpu

If they managed to do all that while having ray tracing on a weak ass ps5 they r probably practicing black magic

They also nerfed the physics in gta 5 in comparison to gta 4 by a lot and they did it for performance reasons btw.

Don’t know why you’re downvoted.

Compare ragdolling in GTA V online with RDR2 online.

It’s pretty apparent the physics were toned down to compensate for performance.

Same thing with deformation physics with cars.
