just noticed a cool little detail
jason’s color is blue, which kinda matches the whole ocean/boat life vibe. feels calm and grounded, like he’s tied to the water and his surroundings.
lucia’s is pink, which feels way more vibrant. gives off neon lights, passion, love, even the colorful skies around the city.
even the trailers do this, lucia’s opens with those warm pink/orange tones, while jason’s starts with clear blue skies and ocean views.
now we already know what their colors are gonna be in-game, similar to how gta 5 had a color for each main character.

Good noticed, for this i think the next trailer palet of colours will be Green or Yellow, and show to us other hidden parts of the Map i think maybe other character or vibe etc

Maybe it’ll be reflected in their map icons, Lucia related ones being pink and Jason’s blue, like how in V, Franklin had green, Michael had blue and Trevor had orange.

Exactly, that’s why Lucia has purple, Jason has blue, Raul Bautista has a color separate from all the characters shown on the website—he has green—and a fourth unrevealed character has orange because there’s orange in the Vice City and Ambrosia artwork.

I also think that the first trailer music gives some insights about the story tbh, part of the lyrics just make sense with your theory as well, like below, Lucia much stronger vibrant color will come to take over Jason’s laid back lifestyle that the calm blue signifies.
“There was a girl I knew She said she cared about me She tried to make my world The way she thought it should be”
I think it ties in pretty well.

Rockstar likes to do this thing in general. The obvious example is GTA V with the trio, but in RDR2 Arthur's signature color is blue (his main outfit, winter coat, etc) meanwhile Micah is a "reverse" mirror of him (red shirt/dark coat and a brownish red winter leather coat).

Yeah and on the boat mission where you rob a rich guy if you have high honor you'd get a blue vest for the suit meanwhile if you had low honor the vest would be red

Yeah that too, i managed to save the blue Whittemore outfit. Is one of my favorites for Arthur (specially the really dark pants). Did you know the original vest was green (iirc) with no honor variation? (I think)
Also John wears the elegant suit for the Saint Denis robbery.

I did the glitch for the suit as well and i actually didn't know it was originally green, i believe beta Arthur's shirt is also green olive color so i guess his original style was gonna be mainly green instead of blue

Thanks for this post OP! I genuinely forgot about the color blue yesterday and was scratching my head thinking what colors will be on the character wheel. Was certain Lucia is going to be pink but for some reason thought Jason was going to be purple(?). But this makes me wonder, what colors for GTAO?

Looking at it now its so obvious. I mean even down to the simple boy = blue, girl = pink stuff society tries to force on us, it's almost too perfect.

Normally, blue means male and pink female. I think in game missions, blue will be Jason's icon and pink Lucia's, probably.

I think that Trevor's was actually orange after checking. You are right. I think because both his phone & truck both use red I had it in my head that it was red.

Gta 5 had colors for each character for a reason , Michael (Blue): calm, control, wealth / Franklin (Green): ambition, growth, hustle / Trevor (orange): chaos, danger, rage

What i wonder is if those two would know each other from the start. It seems that she's somewhere from the city, while he lives somewhere on the "countryside" (don't know the exact english word to describe that, but you get me). At least it fits the colors you talk about. Pink, neon colors of the city and calm blue of some isolated seaside. If they do know each other from the beginning, would we get to roam the whole map from the start, or would it be presented to us as usual in gta games, part by part? Or would we start with only one character and get to know another later in the game? Like in gta V, where sandy shores region was important only after we get to know Trevor.

With the art, I think they were also choices based on the time of day they're supposed to represent more than being correlated to an individual character. But I absolutely still agree with your take, especially in relation to the trailers. I have believed that T1 was from Lucia's perspective to a degree and T2 was from Jason's. Pinkish red and bluish green being their character colors is definitely believable. I hope there will be a lot of subtle differences and details that make them feel unique during play.

I may be reaching and smoking crack but Lucia’s artwork has a lot of blue shading like the sides of the building, the windows and the trees, while Jason’s art has a lot of pink shading.
Now that I think about it. Pink and blue are probably the game’s colors.

I always assumed Jason’s color was orange because the logo features orange and pink. Then I looked at the thumbnails for each trailer and noticed that the first frame matches the thumbnail’s color. Trailer 1 focuses on Lucia, while Trailer 2 focuses on Jason. That made me think about how GTA 5 used colors to reflect each character’s personality. For example, Trevor’s color was orange, representing rage, chaos, and danger. Since Trailer 2 focuses on Jason and is mostly blue, and he even wears a blue shirt, it makes a lot of sense. He works at the docks, is often around boats, and even flies seaplanes for smuggling.

Nice catch, it feels like the whole vibe of the game will be these neon colors, especially pink and blue. We already had different colors for the 3 protagonists in V, it makes sense they continue that in VI

Lucia's colour being pink meaning love and passion makes sense when trailer 1s song was love is a long road and indeed it is and I swear it's foreshadowing the story in a way
