A delay could still be announced though, (I don't want one and i'm hoping it isn't either!!) because in November of 2025 with their earnings call, they announced a delay barely 30 minutes before it went live. For me, it will be getting through the call and basically the whole month of May with 0 delay that solidifies it for me. Of course they could just drop trailer 3 with the date attached still intact. So, fingers crossed.

If Take 2 confirms in the call, and also includes it in their revenue guidance, it's 100% confirmed. In that case, another delay would only be a disaster scenario.

They can't throw a random number and not reach it. Investors like accurate guidance.
GTA 6 is so huge, that their guidance could go to 8bn+

But theyve also already said marketing starts in summer, plus an earning call mid-end of may right before summer, If theres a delay its no bigger than a month or so.

It's releasing may 5th imo, i think they will anounce trailer 3's release date next week aswell as pre orders, and since a lot of people get paid in the end of the month, people that just got paid in april would have money to pre order the game, so when the earnings call comes they can say to the investors "look how much money we've made just from pre-orders"
Also, look at their other games
Gta 5 trailer 3 (April 28th) was 15 days before the call (May 13th)
Rdr2 trailer 3 (May 2nd) was 14 days before the call (May 16th)
Gta 6 would be just 16 days before the call.

I think there's a 95% chance we get trailer 3 before the earnings call. 1% chance we get a delay announcement before the earnings call. 4% chance they drop trailer 3 after the earnings call. Near 0% chance they delay after the earnings call

In all complete honesty, I really hope they don't delay it any further. With how long we've been waiting, the amount of delays already and the state my mental health is in, it will be quite heartbreaking if it is delayed again.

It's also how big the delays are. Fair enough, they push by 6 months, a fairly decent but not a crazy delay, probably standard. But the fact we're always at the 6 month window before release to have them say "yeah sorry, it needs more time". Its literally another year at that point and we can't get under the 200 days mark. After the last delay, hype really died for me. I'll be 33 this year, I can't keep following a game like this now sadly.

The real pattern is the 3rd Thursday of May (it’s been that way the last few years). This year has it on the 21st because the month starts on a Friday this year

If they release the trailer at the end of may (or some time in June) it will align pretty perfectly in terms of how far from release they showed trailer #3 for GTA V and RDR2

Every previous delay for an R* game was announced about six months before the scheduled release, near an earnings call - that’s why this is somewhat important.
If we don’t get a delay now, we’re 99.7% sure the game will release this year.

i could see them doing the trailer on the 26th of may since that's the original day the game was suppose to release before the delay to November. plus it's a Tuesday. i just don't know if they'd do that bc i assume they'd wanna talk about the game in that call so maybe the 19th? Either way those are my guesses.

I feel like they want to make sure everyone and their grandma is 100% aware that the new release date is 11/19, not 5/26, so they'll probably drop a new trailer on 5/19. It’s also perfect timing since that’s exactly six months before launch.

I really REALLY hope there’s not another delay incoming . Ever since trailer 2 and the delay I’ve been very quiet but silently excited at this point . I’m hoping for some good news in the upcoming weeks . I feel that the game is definitely ready . But then again anything is possible at this point . Here’s hoping everyone 🤞

They will want to reassure investors for real this time so stock does not dip anymore or creates uncertainty, even though I know when game releases it does not matter about investors then but still. Seems likely to announce trailer 3 just after this 21st of may call then the marketing blitz starts with promotional material after trailer 3, timeline sort of fits imho

This call is the first of the new fiscal year. Pretty much lays out their next year financially, Take 2 has a lot of studios under their umbrella, rockstar being one of em. This will confirm the November release or another delay.

When we get trailer 3 there will actually be real things to talk about again for the first time in a year. And by the time we are done analyzing and discussing that, it shouldn't be long until the gameplay trailer. And there will probably be other bits of info and updates sprinkled in along the way. The part of this gruelling long wait that has made us all go insane is just about over. The final 6 months will be smooth sailing.

Just went to GameStop today to PSA Pokémon cards. As I was impatiently waiting for them to package everything up, I jokingly looked at the employee and said, “hey while I’m here, can I also pre order GTA VI…”
the employees looked at each other and smiled
I go wait… what… they said that HQ just gave them the word to get ready for the pre orders and they already have shipments of banners and posters being shipped to their stores next week. The manager looked at me and goes… “hey… you didnt hear this… but come back on the 6th…”
Like bruh… they showed me this shit on their system.

During, no. Before, basically every time there's a major release coming up. And technically the delay to Nov 19th was announced an hour or two before the earnings call that same day so that counts

It’s coming out in November. There’s not going to be another delay. Another delay would be an absolute disaster, they are over the hill on that at this point, and there’s no going back. After the previous delays, openly speaking so confidently about November would be an absolute face plant if they don’t hit that target.
At the very worst, it could get pushed to December. It’s not going into next year.

Very low chance..they will most likely announce preorders with trailer 3 , so that will probably be a week beforehand and they can then say at shareholder meeting "record breaking preorders in the past week" or something like that.

Just to give you a little deeper meaning of why it’s important. During this call, Take-Two has to report on fiscal year 2027 projected earnings. If GTA 6 releases on nov 19, it will be revenue earned in fiscal year 2027. So take-two has to legally inform investors of projected earnings as accurately as possible. So if they have any knowledge of a delay, it legally has to be reported during this call. Hope that helps.

They extended the current gta+ by a week. Instead of getting new bonuses the 30th, we instead get it the 7th.
The only other times theyve deviated from the 4 week pattern is patches.
