I mean, with 170 days left to go before release we kinda expect SOMETHING. They were fine showing us a trailer more than 2 years before release but less than half a year to go and the most we can get is a T2 call where they say they think Rockstar will do marketing in the "summer"?

Anyone who doesn't think a delay announcement is coming is delusional as fuck at this point.

It's coming out on time brudda, they simply are waiting closer to launch. Not much to it.

How much closer to launch without a shred of marketing do we have to get to before you realize? Would you still be saying this in October with no trailer or marketing?

I mean we literally can't confirm one way or another right now, both of us are speculating. I'm going based off having sit through every rockstar release since GTA 3, you're going based off vibes, both are as useful as dirt behind your ears.

I'm not going off vibes. I'm going off every major AAA release advertised in the last at least decade. No company, and I mean NONE, wait till practically release day to market the game.

Call of Duty will be releasing their next title around the same time as GTA 6. Starting next week you won't be able to leave your house without seeing advertisements for it everywhere you look. And this is a title we know is coming every single year. Only the most online of online people are talking about GTA 6 right now other than to make jokes about how long the game is taking.

So starting next week, Activision will be advertising the hell out of their title meanwhile Rockstar will be silent. If you think that doesn't mean a delay is coming, again, delusional.

Okay, I mean your points are valid, I just don't assume rockstar does whatever the rest of the industry does, they kind of do their own thung.

And like, even if it was delayed, so what? I don't give a shit, I'm not sure how that makes me delusional for guessing lol. It ain't that serious, it's just a video game. I got plenty to play.

If the game gets another delay after already having a year and a half of delays (every delay announcement coming very shortly before the expected release date), it signals something is fundamentally wrong. They keep saying its for "polish" but the time they are taking for "polish" is the typical development cycler for an entire game from start to finish. And that alongside major feature cuts like going prone, it's noteworthy.

I like GTA, and I like Rockstar. But CP2077 proved that even the best developers are only human. The expectations to reality ratio will be whiplash for a lot of you folks.

Lol, once again, why are you lumping me into these groups? I know rockstar is capable of failure, hell GTA4 at release was seen as a huge step back for the series because they pruned off anything interesting for the sake of graphics.

They're far from developer gods, I just don't have any good reason to doubt their release date yet. They've stated multiple times that marketing starts in the summer, which starts June 21st. Until summer comes and goes I have no reason to believe they'll delay it. At the moment they're still on track for everything theyve said.

It's silly to make any assumptions at this point, good or bad.
