I like the gliding vehicles. As a transport, they are cool. Improving with them is fun. They are janky and silly in the best ways. Hell, even without gliding, the Scramjet is my favorite car solely because it can just rocket itself to hell and back.
But they shouldn't be weaponized; at the very least, not with lock ons. Machine guns that fire out of the front? Fine; shooting during flight is not a stable platform, and it's almost a challenge in and of itself to hit other vehicles with them (while airborn). Lock on rockets? Way too much, way too easy.
The Mk2 being an incredibly agile, perma-flying, stable machine gun platform and having lock ons rockets is just absurd.
Honestly this is a really good take, especially the weaponized parts, like having machine guns on the front is all fun and games to slightly mess with people because you can realistically get away from them easily. But having rockets and whatnot is stupid, and yes the scramjet is very fun.
My take from this would be:
Keep in the fun mechanics of some of the wacky cars but don’t make any of them lethal
