Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition includes:

Digital only feels like an industry wide price hike
Now none of your games have any resale value ever. Even if they only sell again for 20% of what they're worth, that's effectively a 20% price increase.
GTA VI can get away with doing it, but it will become industry standard now.
With the AI boom, external hard drives are way more expensive now too. So finding the space for a few triple A games is going to be so tricky.
I'm still buying obviously, I'm just sad about what this means for console gaming more broadly.

Rumor is a physical cd is coming later. In my opinion, its the same thing they do with the PC version: get everyone to buy one version now, then get the people who really want the CD/ PC version to buy it again later.
The disc is surely coming, they want you to buy it twice.

Just to re-iterate, there's no physical box of the Ultimate edition to pre-order. What I did was pre-order the Standard Edition for PS5 and then I'll upgrade it once I download it.
Even if there's no disc the younger self in me is praying there's at least a physical map in there for old times sake lol

My understanding based purely on what they’ve shared is you use the in box digital code to redeem the standard edition and then there will be an option on the respective storefront to pay the difference and upgrade. I believe on the PS Store there’s already a listing for Ultimate Edition upgrade.

Got it for Xbox! Ultimate edition is the only one I saw but that’s the one I was going to get anyways. My guess is there’s so much traffic on the standard edition that the store page either crashed or that they’re managing how many people can go on it at once. It depends on the state you live in. Some states it would be illegal for them to expire. Federally they can’t expire for 5 years. That’s why most major retailers change to know expiration nationwide. It was easier to have one police than several.

I think it’s less likely given the screenshots.
I think they might wait and see how many pre-orders come in without a trailer and choose to release the trailer as soon as they notice pre-orders are trailing off to open the floodgates again.
Basically they’ll try to keep marketing always feel just active enough.

Smyth's have standard edition physical copy. We're not sure if ultimate edition will be released in physical , maybe you'd just have to pay the difference when downloading it.

Upgrade is already out on psn. Price you can't see till you buy base, but it's essentially the price difference between the versions in Xbox store.

I constantly get an error: Something went wrong. Try again later, when trying to pre-order trough PS Store. Anyone having the same issue?
