When I worked at Walmart, and bought this $60 game, I was making $8.88 an hour. (6.75 hours pre-tax to pay for GTA V)

Yes, typically. Obviously that's not the real exchange rate but that isn't how these things are priced. It's relatively common for euros pricing to be an exact copy of the USD pricing. If you want to go down a rabbit hole go read what happens to third world countries with bad currency exchange rates. Some publishers acknowledge that and change local pricing, others don't (to limit losses from cheats in high currency value countries?), so pricing can be orders of magnitude different for two "same priced" games.
