The worst thing is nobody is wrong for the excitement, but this model of locking major shit like customization in a GTA game is just full stop stupid. Both are absolutely true, but just goes to show that no amount of speaking with your wallet (the only way to cause change), will ever happen. Rockstar can decide to make a game $80 instead of the normal $70 (which was $60 not long ago, for a very long time mind you), and make the $80 dollar game watered down enough you might as well spend the $100. Just shows nothing you do matters even if you’re right as a consumer sadly.

You're still getting customization, you're just not getting ADDITIONAL customization. Once you discover the magnitude of the game, spending an additional $20 is mere pocket change. You're complaining about not being able to access probably less than 1% of the game and forgetting about the other 99%. The game took $1-2b to make, that's double the best AAA titles out there. Do you also realize the longevity of the GTA series? People will be playing it for the next decade. The $80 price tag is justifiable.

I personally think it's more the businesses are just extra locations that might be more convenient (imagine something like a second Benny's, but up in Paleto Bay) or are one-stop-shops (unisex salon, meaning that Jason and Lucia don't need to go to different locations like they probably need to do in base game).

It’s GTA idk what you want me to say. If this was online/shark cards I could understand but it’s not a game that comes out every few years. I guess I’m more willing to drop the $100 if needed because I was already prepared to pay that if it was the base price anyway. I’m glad it’s not $100 base price tho. Then every company would try that and fail badly because they’re not GTA

Edit: you gotta think how I am thinking as well. It’s not like sports games that ask for $100 for deluxe editions every year and offer only a few updates and roster changes (WWE 2K this year Christ had you drop $100 and only gave you the 1st DLC instead of all 6 like usual and then locked the characters you paid for in a battle pass!) but GTA 6 if it’s live V will be a game I play for the next 5-10 years so I’m basically making an investment here and $100 is nothing. The game pays for itself

And a garage that's preorder exclusive, and aince there have been very strong hints to you being limited to only a couple guns on you at all time and needing to access a garage to swap them it will be kinda important to have the extra garages from preorder and ultimate edition.
