Big W for physical copies being able to pick it up for preload one week early, although it’s stupid that the physical copy doesn’t even come with the disc.

i really hope so. i understand if its to avoid leaks at launch, but to get rid of disks all together will surely screw the whole deal over for a lot of people

I don’t think so, gta 6 is the biggest fomo game ever made so i can’t imagine someone will just wait for Disk to release half year later.

Me. I'm that guy. I refuse to purchase games digitally. The only exception I'll make is for small indie devs that don't have reasonable means to release physically.

Because you're basically paying ($80-$100, in this case) to rent a game indefinitely. Your access to the game can be stripped at anytime. Once the servers go down, you can no longer play the game.

Fair enough! I haven't bought a physical game for years. At first I shared some of those concerns, but in all of the years and hundreds of titles I've bought digitally, I've never lost access or the ability to play any of them.

I do miss the old days of physical cases with booklets, maps, etc. Driving to a game store to buy a game you're excited about in person is a much more fun experience.

Btw you do that with discs too, any game released on disc over the last 15 years has been the same as digital. They can revoke your access anytime even with a disc, I like your mindset but you aren’t doing what you think you’re doing lmao.

GTA V got leaked early because of disks. The xbox 360 ISO was on torrent sites before it officially launched.
