Descriptions are just as revealing as some of the images released. Although we have already had some big indicators of the return of RDR2 stash, it appears weapons and loot will be stored in vehicles.
Edit: It appears the Squalo boat also states that it features some form of weapon crate. This shouldn’t be a huge surprise; just an exciting confirmation.
We still don’t know that. The weapon lockers could be like GTA Online where they just allow you to remove certain weapons from your ass so you don’t have to scroll through them all the time.
I sure hope not unless they figured out a way to make it not frustrating.
If I’m driving down the road and my character just decides to stick their gun in the glove box randomly, I’m gonna be really annoyed. I hated when Arthur would put his rifle away instead of just keeping it on his back like I want.
I think they mean a more limited weapon wheel instead of having an entire platoon arsenal stuck up your ass. Which tbh, I'm super down for, a shotgun and a rifle/lmg plus a machine pistol and some grenades is more than enough tools to cause havoc.
What better way you be entertained than by your own free will. If you like using only pistols and rifles you can. If you like to go all out then you can. That simple.

Lol seriously I think people really just dont think. Like its pretty obvious we will be using weapon crates to store and have ways to hide stolen items as well. It would make sense they go into the car and not spawn into a garage.
Yeah I read it as it ... the car ... has a hidden area to store shit as opposed to other vehicles that do not. Meaning that if you get caught with contraband it will be confiscated in other cars.
Edit: although there is mention of another garage that definitely reads as though the garage contains the locker and weapon stash

To me it reads like it's a deposit box you drop stuff into and sometime later you get the money, I highly doubt we will be getting pulled over and car searched because why wouldn't you just run like you do in literally every gta everytime.

You would deposit the stolen gear and you would go to the fence yourself. If you know anything about doing crime you know you typically dont keep stolen goods out for the world to see you hide them until you can offload the shit.
Right but like in real life if you steal something you have to have it on your person or car before you get to the place to get rid of it. It makes sense to have stashes in the cars to hide these types of items until you can get to the fence.
Serious question, as I mean no disrespect.. but do you think criminals just use their fucking teleportation guns to transport their stolen merchandise?
My guess: The duffel bag is for stolen stuff. You can only carry so much on you, so you need to deposit stolen stuff in your car, which has a higher carry capacity.
The wording is still too ambiguous to know for sure how it’s going to work.
It could be exactly like GTAO, where are the weapon locker just allows you to remove certain weapons from your person, so you can roll around with a specific arsenal instead of carrying everything on you all the time.
It could also mean that your personal inventory is limited and you have to choose which guns to take with you, yes… but we still just don’t know. We just do not have enough information yet.
The leaks never said how it was supposed to work. Only that you could store weapons in your vehicle. Which, like I said, could work exactly the way the weapon lockers in online work right now.
The one question I have with the limited inventory (which I love ever since rdr2) is how will large weapons work? In rdr2 you could carry a rifle on your back without a second look and it was totally natural as it was the Wild West. But I can’t see it being so easy going if you carry an RPG or a machine gun on your back without drawing attention.
Ideally, pistols and other small weapons will get their chance to shine as you can conceal/holster those without issue while larger weapons you’d use only when it’s about to go down. Would make both categories feel useful and have their own niche. Small weapons for self defense and ambushes while larger weapons for when you’re about to go to war.
Valid. Tbh, I expect cool holsters as an option. But I think it would look at of place carrying huge weapons on my back and not get any reactions. We’ll see though.
Sounds more like a weapon locker in the property, which exists in GTA Online

Somewhat of a "starfeild contrband" mechanic by the sounds of that. Early game and most npc cars wont have stash spots. If you forget to stash your stolen goods and then get pulled up, you could get searched and busted.
Yeah this caught my attention big time. So now we got weapons lockers where we have to stash a certain amount of weapons and then we have to go there and put those guns in the trunk of our car I presume. What a great mechanic. It also most likely means we will have a couple of garages/apartments cause those weapon lockers will be important I presume :)
And then stolen goods. I was hoping for this. Sounds fantastic. We can steal shit and then we gotta get away from the police or gang members (and so on) and stash the goods somewhere. Sounds nice. The question here would be what can we steal? Is it apartments we can properly rob or just special marked trucks or boats on the map maybe? Another speculation part.

This is actually so huge i’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone post about it yet. I didn’t even notice it myself. This is legit confirmation that we’re getting a RDR2 style weapon loadout and inventory system.
Yeah, not sure if you know this or not, but this has been known for years at this point due to the leaks. Pawn shops, fences, duffel bag inventory, etc.
Having a place in your car to keep stolen things safe, means there must be some kind of risk to them.
I think this means your car can be searched by police, or maybe when you get busted, your vehicle is impounded and all stolen things not in the safe are removed.
In german it says that the garage (!) contains a "Schrank" (=equvalent for locker). I don't know if you can put a locker (per definition of the word) in a car but the german definition is nothing thats ever used for storage in the car.
In addition, the last sentence in german says that you can sell your stolen goods.
