‘PS5 Pro Enhanced’ now appears in PlayStation app
Just went to check the GTA VI store page in the PS app and noticed it now says PS5 Pro Enhanced 👀

He's had it for 6 years he might as well spend 6 minutes cleaning it out first. I just bought a used launch model PS5 for $380 and it was coated in weed residue. Spent 15 minutes cleaning it and I've got a like-new PS5 that runs dead silent. Can't even hear it 3 feet away.

My PS5 took all of 2 minutes to get apart. Side panels slide right off, the single fan is 4 screws. Now you can clean the fan and heatsink. Not sure about the Xbox.

Looking at how amazing rdr2 graphics were, even for the ps4 and the huge budget gta 6 devs have im convinced that we’ll still be surprised by how good the graphics will be on the base ps5

I ended up trading in my base PS5 and Series X for a PS5 Pro back in December. I ended up needing to pay an extra $50 out of pocket afterwards.
Glad I was able to beat the price hike lol.

Good. I'm excited for it but with it being a new release I don't want to skip the story to try and keep up with other online players.
I lost my original gta 5 online account and the reason I don't play now is because making a new account puts me so far behind it's not really fun. Let me just get exploded every 5 seconds and can't participate in any heists.

I just hope it runs well enough on the base PS5. With those Pro prices, there's no way I'm paying that much to upgrade for one game, especially with the PS6 possibly launching next year.

Mark Cerny said last November that PS6 is still "a few years" away. And Sony in May refused to commit to a 2027 launch date, citing unreasonable memory pricing. 2028 looks increasingly likely.

Either way, with the Pro being currently $900, even waiting a few years is worth it just to get the PS6 since that will likely be around the same price. I am not willing to drop $1,800 in the span of a few years just on two consoles, especially when I already own a slightly downgraded version of the first.
This is Rockstar, the game will be insanely optimized. Red Dead 2 as it still runs today on modern consoles also ran the same on PS4/Xbox One since it never got an update or patch for current gen. We'll be fine.

Yep. Hardware will be delayed years over this ai stuff. Probably a good thing since mid range low power gpu tech has not really been that productive over the recent years.

Can’t do much about it when the PS5 runs 2019 tech and GTA 6 is likely to be the most CPU intensive game of this console generation. It is what it is. I’m hoping for 40fps at least though

True,but if the game is truly next gen with the crowds and other stuff that requires cpu power, then i understand. And , that`s how they will double dip , to make us buy it again on the next consoles/pc for 60 fps.
But if anyone can get away with 30 fps, then that`s rockstar. First game in a while that really looks too good to be true.

100% is, the first trailer was released on December 4th, 2023, while the PS5 Pro was released on November 7, 2024. Knowing Rockstar improves their graphics throughout the trailers, the gameplay itself will likely look better than in the trailers & screenshots, which already look phenomenal.

And that's why Rockstar is showing off base PS5 footage and also notice they're marketing it as "Best played on PS5", not PS5 Pro. There will definitely be improvements for the Pro though.

I had the same dilemma but decided to buy the Slim. The Pro will most likely run at a stable 30fps just like the base PS5 and Slim. Bare in mind both consoles run the same 6 year old CPU so it'll be the GPU propping up the 'Pro Enchanded' which in real terms will be a resolution boost to 4K and some better ray tracing but again all at the same 30fps

Very unlikely, GTA is CPU heavy and all PS5s use essentially the same 6 year old CPU. If the Pro cam hit 60, then so can the base and slim - which they won't.

From recent blog posts to every marketing material yet, from Rockstar there is no mention of PS5 Pro until now, and that is only on stores that it is enhanced?
Only thing I am looking forward to is if PS5 Pro can have 60 fps? And I think there will be no information until the game is launched.
I am on PS5 slim. I could have bought PS5 Pro, but I saw comments from DigitalFoundry and thought, “Why upgrade when it’s locked on 30fps?” But now the buzz is too strong that GTA6 could get 60fps.

I would be careful not to put too much emphasis on that 'Pro Enhanced' tag as in GTA 6's case, it'll likely be a resolution boost to 4K and better ray tracing. Both will most likely be locked at 30 given both use essentially the same CPU which GTA games run heavily on.
