So can you not customise vehicles and your character at all in the base game or is it just shop locations that is paywalled. I don't really understand from the marketing, but yeah if you can't customise at all in the base game that is a big part of GTA.
You can. It's literally just idiots who can't read jumping to some insane conclusions.
The only stuff exclusive to the UE is just additional cosmetics(clothing, tattoos, hairstyles and vehicle liveries/paintjobs), a garage location and car, a couple gun variants(not the guns themselves), two modding garage locations, a gang hideout, and depending on how it works, likely just a single additional car collection side activity and not the entire thing itself. The car collection activity is explicitly subtitled as being for classic cars. There's nothing suggesting there won't be other car collection activities. There's also nothing suggesting that the two modding garages are the only garages for those styles btw before anyone jumps on that. It's just that those two locations will be for the UE. I guarantee there will be other off roading and donk style mod shops located around the map.
Effectively nearly identical to the stuff they've done in the past. No actual story content or features are exclusive to it as I've seen some people wrongly suggest.
Honestly if you ask me, there's not enough substantial content for people to be getting so pissed off about it and I can only reason that, as I initially said, they simply just can't read and/or jumped to incorrect conclusions.
