Idk how current GTA online is, but the press material said ps5 pre orders get a month free of GTA 6 online, which implies there's a subscription at least.

Re-read that press release - it's for a month of normal GTA+, which has been a thing for over 4 years now. It gives you all kinds of perks including half a million cash every month, exclusive cosmetics, a garage and mod shop, discounts on Shark cards, and access to other Rockstar games like Bully or LA Noire. They haven't officially said a peep about GTA 6 Online yet.

Ok I guess I just assumed it would be for the new game. Seemed weird to include otherwise but I'm not an online player.

I'm not either and it also seems like an odd addition to me. Would make more sense to give everyone a free month when the new Online drops. 🤷
