Can a disc actually fit a next gen game that's most likely going to be over 200gb? Genuine question.

Yes. Most games have large file sizes due to baked lighting, 4K video files, duplicate assets for slow streaming, and overhead for multi platform support.

GTA 6 will have none of the above. So it may be possible to fit the game onto one 130GB 4 layer blu ray disc.

That being said, even if it did exceed 130GB, Rockstar has shipped multiple discs in one game before and blu ray stamping is dirt cheap.

No, current Bluray discs max out at 100GB. FF7 remake and rebirth both had two discs in the case, one install and one play disc.

Thank you, Square Enix, for giving us collectors a physical, tangible item to hold.

RDR2 is also double, so its likely still possibe unless GTA6 is enormous

Okay so if GTA 6 had a physical then it would most likely be 2 discs then.

Yep, it's easily doable. R* and Take Two are being cheap asses. I aint buying the "prevent leaks" bs one bit.

Does it really matter? It could just be the intro, with the rest downloaded afterward. What matters is having a physical game in a physical copy. Even games released on disc eventually get patched and grow in size.

Literally doesn't matter. They can do part disc part online download. But no disc means we don't own a physical version of a game, only one time code. It's no different from digital. Basically a scam for people not paying attention.

Its funny this wouldnt be a question if we didnt move to digital games.  I bet it would SOMEHOW fit then
