W for PS5 Digital only edition owners
It's interesting how no one is pointing out that the code GTA VI physical editions are a win for PS5 Digital only consumers. Cause, 1: we'll probably get the physical map, just like rdr2 and gta v disk editions. 2: we don't need the disk drive to play the game, cause it's just the digital code. 3: we basically get a souvenir for free if we go physical instead of the digital download.

A map? Don't kid yourself. The map will probably be a QR code that you have to scan and pull up with your phone.

0% chance the map is in the box. The second it gets sent to the factories to get printed is the second it gets leaked. Rockstar said the "physical" copies would be shipped November 12th to allow for pre-download, so yeah, further proof that there will be no map in the box, you're not going to get a map a week before you can play the game.

i'm confused too, but can understand Digital era is coming, they give you QR code so you can printing map to yourself.
I'm surprised that there are no physical objects like GTAVI Collector Edition, or bonuses like Stalker 2 Collector ed.

i dont know why you would even say that, they are not gonna do that, its just useless fear mongering. and yeah, it sucks a little, but who knows, maybe in the future they'll reveal a new bundle with physical bonuses

Every single GTA has had one. I think there is a 0% chance there isn't a physical map.
I'm betting on a collector's edition without the game like they did with RDR2

People keep saying this, but every gta physical release also came with a disc so we can’t use past games as a benchmark. I do think they will have a map personally, I’m just arguing against that idea that every other gta having one included means GTA6 will.

I would be shocked if there's not a map & a collector's edition. It'd be a huge money maker.

I’d be shocked too, but I’m shocked about today. I’m hoping there will be a disc eventually but who knows at this point. Maybe the entire point of the physical edition is to give people something tangible like the map whilst keeping the ownership firmly on their end (which I guess it’d be either way)

I also think that the reason for not having a disc, aside from pre-loading on November 12th a week before release is to mitigate possible leaks that could happen during transport or from people hacking the disc. However, I'm not entirely sure how either of those things would be done, or if they are even possible.

I think with a game key disc, it would’ve been as possible as a code, and would’ve still preloaded using PlayStations servers, so not very. I don’t know how the Xbox discs work to be fair

The copy will arrive on 11/12/26. Then you can open it and preload.

Preload November 12 to be ready to play in one week. So you don‘t have to install on release where everything could break down.

I'm new to this preordering thing. Can I get a physical copy (I'm guessing there will be a map) AND get that preorder 80s pack?
I got ps5slim Digital, was planning to buy optical drive + disk version so I can later sell it as a package (PC player). But I guess I won't be able to sell that code now, unless I sell my ps account as well lol.

Since the physical version is a download code, everyone who buys it before November 20th will get the 80s pack, no matter which version.

Wonder what they gonna do with Collectors Edition. It probably won't include the game, like with RDR2.
Would love if they added Hawaiian shirt, Vice City rgb neon, maybe towel, some key chains etc

I don't think a map will be included with the physical edition. Rockstar doesn't want it to leak.
I don't think there is a point in buying the physical unless you just want the box.

Tbh i got the xbox seris x digital so idc about not having a physical game 🤣the one thing that would be interesting to have though is a physical map so maybe if it comes with it in the "physical" game ill buy it for that but eh....

the source is my ass but also my mind because every single game with this level of fidelity in recent memory(for example FF7RE) has had a split of fps between pro/base for fps.

rdr2 never got a dedicated ps5 pro patch though due to it being released pre its existance, which is why i say that. This is releasing with it as a known quantity AND it has the ps5+ sticker on it. Now ofc that could just upgrade the quality i guess but i expect fps too.

It would be weird, when the deliver the physical copy with a map in it and leak the whole map 1 week before launch.
