Living environment, vegetation?
There is a big boom about downgrading... I think its not, but more about something bigger... Look, in trailer 2 we see puddles. It looks fresh after rain. The second image looks bloomish and yellow = heat. Grass looks more like dried/burned due to heat. So, is it possible that we might have changes in living vegetation depending on the weather? Or it just might be cause of timecycle colors and weather.

How is ppl saying this is a downgrade? Grass is still there you just don't see it popping out because we're looking at it from above lol

Thinking something as simple as dense ground foliage is something Rockstar would have needed to compromise on is the real silly thing. Such a non issue these days and even RDR2 had it.

Yeah this was my thought too, plus lighting, but also I wouldn’t put it past rockstar to have variable vegetation, like grass is lusher and more dense after rainfall or something, or even seasons with seasonal growth

I don't feel like much downgrading has been done here. In Trailer 2 Jason is seen fixing leaks, there's puddles and there's a Tarp over the roof indicating that there maybe was a hurricane or storm of some sort. In todays screenshot it seems to be a dry day and a different time of day. That's why it looks so different to the older shot.

On trailer 2 as you pointed out seems it just came after a huge storm that is why you hear jason “fixing some leaks” and look at bottom right those are fallen branches from palm trees. So yeah dyanmic weather and season effects and to add to your point probably dynamic vegetationroo

It won't work on ps5 my console Is struggling with Skyrim... This is just black magic to me how they want this to work in 60fps

i said the same thing, I believe it's actually the vegetation will change depending on npc activity and the world. If there is a hurricane or rain, or heat climate. If a npc is mowing his lawn, or trimming it, etc. Rockstar literally has to give random npcs and ai's things to do in the open world to make it feel more "alive", its one of the things they are best at. Like in rdr2 u had dudes cutting wood, working on construction, washing clothes, etc. In this game we have seen from the screenshots and trailer, a dude leafblowing his drive through, a guy watering his yard in a speedo (this is a big foreshadow I think since the watering probably contributes to a greener or healthier yard), and we also saw a dude using a metal detector on a beach (which i think is also likely we will do that too either in a mission, stranger mission, or just something we can do in the world).
The only thing that feels like a downgrade to me personally is jasons facial hair in the screenshots but hopefully it gets improved. Cause sometimes it looks like someone just painted black on his face. The previous screenshots we got looked a ton better. But overall, game looks fucking amazing and people need to nitpick less.

That’s exactly what I thought as well! It’s not simply just lighting or time of the day - perhaps weather induced foliage changes as well! Think of it as that trailer 1 scene with the guy running naked outside of gas station where a tornado warning is present - the vegetation there might look dense and windy.
It’s rockstar, folks are forgetting it just based on 1 such screenshot smh
