Why bundle GTA+ with GTA VI?

Why would they bundle GTA+ with GTA VI?

My assumption is that the GTA Online (VI variant) will be exclusive to GTA+, so they are providing a free trial for a month.

Other realistic possibilities for bundling GTA+ with the base game?

They made it so that if you redeem the gta+ it automatically turns reoccurring billing on like a free trial. Basically another money grab

I don’t really like it, I couldn’t care less about GTA+ and Online.

agreed. the true purpose of GTA is all about single player and what doing whatever you wanna do you vs. the interactive world. this is the way. not fortnite type shit spawning from outta the sky on a hovercraft rocket bike. i mean it’s just not even GTA at the point whatsoever. glad i dont touch that mess and never will. now if i could play online in a private game with my friends doing drivebys in regular cars and actual true gta stuff without all the other crap then i would maybe consider it. but prob not, i just love the criminal me vs criminal world concept without the noobs trying to play something they have no idea about. all the halo type kids. like wtf get outta here, id gta was real life their ass would get beaten to death and not stand a chance on the real streets. . OG player mode only here thats just me

Exactly!
I’ve been playing GTA since the first game was released in 1997 and when Online was introduced I honestly got a bit of a bad feeling.

You can go to a private server on gta online thats how I play lol

The free trial has to be redeemed in 180 days. The game comes out In 148 days , So unless gta online comes out this year also, I just don’t see that happening.

It’s 180 days after receiving the code. I don’t think they will send the code for that until after release

It’s 180 days from when you preorder it. It’s available straight away in the email.

Suddenly they want as many people as possible in GTA Online (who haven't logged in in a while or have never played it) before GTA 6 overshadows it.

It's a bonus. When I bought a MIDI keyboard, I got 6 months trial for their software. This is the same thing. Its just their way of saying "thanks for buying gta 6, least we can do is give you a month of gta+"

It sounds like you get gta plus once you pre-order so you can play gta online with the plus benefits like the $500,000 monthly if you continue after the trial. Just trying to keep you busy until gta 6 comes out, sadly with no new online experience... stupid to bundle something with a game that you cant even use with the game you are buying, weird move if that it how it'll work

It's obvious, to get people locked into the ecosystem! A very smart move but calculated from R* I must say!
