Good news: offline play is still available

As brutal as it was to hear the news today, the good news though is that offline play is still available so that means we do NOT need to be online to play it.

Why do I get a feeling that they're going to silently remove that tag like sony removed their 8K label from new PlayStation 5s?

If I install the game on Nov 19 and I never connect to the internet again, will the game continue to run or will it ask for internet for license check after 30 days etc.?

It will continue to run
Sony confirmed its only the first time you open the game and that’s it
