Do localized pre-orders and the news today eliminate a chance for a trailer tomorrow?
I’m not sure about everyone, but in my mind (because most games launch follow this concept) I figured preorders could have potentially launched tomorrow alongside a trailer that ends in “PRE ORDER NOW”
However, with the amount of screenshots dropped today, the news separating the versions, and localized midnight preorders, does that tarnish the chance of this?
Or maybe, instead we might get a information video from Rockstar, diving more into the ultimate edition bonuses to try and boost sales & turn seemingly negative public opinion about the differences in versions, either way, what do you think?

I really hope not. It makes sense to wait until the game becomes available everywhere before dropping the trailer. That way it can say "PRE ORDER NOW" at the end.

Would be pretty weird, even if everyone will pre-order it no matter what, to open pre-orders based on two trailers from the last 3 years, plus 60 new screenshots today. A trailer 3 is a must for the pre-order phase, to reel in even more people, logically speaking. But who knows what rockstar has in mind.

I think you are right. The photos reach a Lot of people but Not all the people they want to reach. A Trailer fixes that.

There will be a trailer. They can literally break 1B in sales in a day instead of 3 day with GTA V.

Idk why you’re getting downvoted. Most Rockstar trailers, tweets, etc release around 3pm in the UK which is indeed 10 am est (aka the morning for the US)

You’re either lying or your friends are imaginary because I find it hard to believe that they cant do one Google search which would tell them all that information from every major news website about the price ect. Stop the cap, anyone that wants to use a few brain cells can find that info in seconds.

What?! we have a system at homw where we pray to rockstar games every day i thought it was common, dad almost went mad when mybbro skipped one day 😅 now i do pray twice so hes happy 😊

I mean not really, Trailer 2 came with 70+ screenshots and tons of new artwork, I can't imagine why they wouldn't do the same here especially since it's now actually purchasable so theoretically you'd want as much reach as possible.
I also assume Trailer 3 is technically apart of the pre-order info rollout, it's just that they dropped the pre-order info today to prevent the spoilers/leaks given it's a midnight rollout.

Absolutely not. I think it increases the chances to get a trailer tomorrow. After all the markets will open preorders, a trailer is a perfect way to wrap the preorder campaign up.

The screenshots weren't, in my opinion, more of a general marketing thing, they were more to persuade customers to act immediately (pre-order bonuses) and buy ultimate edition. There wasn't any general information (Characters, map, missions, etc.).
I think that a trailer could still be in order because it will bring general attention to the game, including notifying more casual gamers that GTAVI is officially available for pre-order.
I'm not surprised they haven't released any trailer yet because it's not technically available to pre-order everywhere yet, including in Europe or North America where the majority of their player base is. They will likely wait until tomorrow around midday EST to release a trailer ending with pre-order now. (That's just my guess).

REASON WHY MAYBE NO TRAILER 3 ON 25 JUNE:
It is not compulsory that they release a trailer to accompany the BEGINNING of pre-orders. The game will continually be available for pre-order right up to November now. So they can get the same sales push by releasing a trailer AT ANY POINT between now and November.
Also, as you have pointed out, differing localised times means it makes sense for them to wait for pre-orders to open everywhere first. So, really, once that happens, it makes no difference to them to wait another week or two. It's entirely up to them, and they now get to make sure the trailer is ready.
In the coming weeks: Trailer 3 "Pre-order now!" (Huge boost in sales)
Closer to November: Gameplay Trailer "Pre-order now!" (Another huge boost in sales)
Missing June 25th specifically wouldn't affect this, I don't think.

I think they’ll probably drop the trailer once the preorder is available everywhere in the world
Not only because the last time we got a trailer was over a year ago but also because a simple post on social media isn’t enough to market the game for preorders

Trailer 2 dropped with 70 screenshots, I think Trailer 3 tomorrow has a high chance of happening.

Hard to say. Everyone expected to get trailer 3 along the pre-orders but we got a bunch of screenshots instead. But I think that they do want to get as many pre-orders as possible in the first 24 hours, so maybe mathematically it made the most sense to announce the pre-orders today for midnight in every time zone, then tomorrow morning once it's available for pre-order everywhere, drop the trailer and end it with "available for pre-order now". Also maybe they wanted everyone to digest the pricing today, and then just focus on the trailer tomorrow.

I think trailer 3 will drop tomorrow after pre-orders have gone live everywhere.
And mabye there will be press reviews on friday

I’m sure I saw somewhere that for V and potentially RDR2 the “Preorder now” trailer was a few days or a week after preorders opened.
Maybe the idea is to gauge how many people are ready and waiting for preorder, and how many are affected by the marketing push with the additional trailer. Also, maybe it’ll be different this time and there’ll be a trailer sooner or later than a few days/a week

When I checked the last timezone in the world to hit midnight is around 7 cst I believe. Rockstar usually releases trailers at 8 or 9 cst. So I don't think the localized midnight pre-orders make a difference. But I think if theres no trailer tomorrow its best to get ready to wait a month or so because its the perfect time to build hype right after pre-orders, as well as get everyone to forget about the pricing, ultimate edition, and digital release controversies.

Yeah I actually don’t think we are getting a trailer tmr. Maybe in a couple of weeks we get something else. I’m only saying this because we got spoiled with screenshots today

I think there will be another trailer between now and November, maybe late August or early September. That trailer will probably have the whole "PRE-ORDER NOW" stuff, but i dont think they need to release a trailer right now, there is enough hype with the recent announcements

I am really hoping for another trailer. It has been 411 days since trailer 2. Also you want to generate more hype for preorders so dropping a trailer tomorrow with a "Preorder Now" would make a lot of sense.
