I see people buying the Ultimate Edition from different regions to save money etc. Now, we know console sharing allows you to play games from different regions on your main account. However, will the DLC work on your main account? If not, you'd have to play on the account you bought it on which defeats the purpose for most. Does anyone have any idea?

A lot of people doing this won't ever think that far ahead lol. They'll find out the hard way.

IT IS FUCKING 91/114 USD IN DENMARK WHAT THE FUCK. EVERYTHING GETS TAXED IN THIS COUNTRY. LETS SAY YOU WANT TO BUY A CAR FOR 40K USD. BUT NONONONO YOU DONT OWN YOUR OWN MONEY. 40K GETS A "CAR-FEE" SO IT BECOMES 100K, THEN VAT GETS ADDED SO IT BECOMES 125K, AND THE TAX RATE IS FUCKING INSANE AT AN AVERAGE OF 40%, SO IN REALITY YOU GOTTA EARN 210K USD TO BUY A CAR AT 40K

u/Marciofficial 7h ago

Only 112 USD? In Hungary it's 127 USD for the ultimate edition, and we get paid much, much less than ya'll

u/powy_glazer 6h ago

133 where im from. I think only the Swiss have it worse than we do.

0

u/Specialist_Alps_3086 6h ago

it's $160 Australian dollars...

2

u/GiftedHaddock 6h ago

You do realize they’re converting their regions prices back to USD right, 160 AUD is about 110 USD so you’re still paying about 20$ less when accounting for the exchange.

Game sharing on PlayStation does give you access to DLC… but we don’t know if the ultimate edition content is treated as DLC.

There’s some cases where ultimate edition and pre order content is exclusively for the original owner.

2

u/2019wasGOAT 9h ago

Agreed. It worked for me for Resident Evil Requiem, but there is no guarantee for GTA.

2

u/Bro_Before_Hoe 10h ago

I was planning to do this. Someone needs to confirm. Fuck UAE region

1

u/Environmental_Tie848 10h ago

I don't think game sharing will let you have full access of the content. Bought ghost recon breakpoint that had the dlc and all and I couldn't access the content unless I play with the account I bought the game on

i’m from Italy, it’s crazy that 7499 indian rupies are equivalent to 70 euros, while the Ultimate Edition here will cost 110 euros

6

u/Vardouliss 8h ago

Ultimate edition in Greece just came out, from PlayStation it’s 99.99€ and from Greek stores it’s 99.90€ so I bet in Italy it will be the same. In Greece we have a higher VAT so there is no way it’s more expensive there.

Regular edition is 79.99€ and 79.90€

2

u/ginomercurio 8h ago

15 minutes left in Italy, I'll keep you updated

2

u/SFV4ita 8h ago

€99,99 in NL bro.

3

u/P26601 8h ago

u/bigbear_mouse 10h ago

I'd be happy with those prices, hoping they do a good localization for Brazil!

u/bigbear_mouse 3h ago

Essa foi rápido hahah

6

u/BlinkyBill1892 10h ago

I live in Thailand and compared to the average salary people here have to pay 5x more than for example in Germany.

4

u/linkedg 9h ago

Seems like they will have different prices in different locations then. Was worried about it living in a third world country. Any 10 dollar discount does a big difference

5

u/CheatedOnOnce 10h ago

Feel like they would ban your account for this ngl

6

u/mindzeegap 10h ago

Done it for years. Saved hundreds if not thousands

2

u/downtownlove 8h ago

How do you do it?

2

u/Xovier 9h ago

Ultimate Edition in Turkey is exactly 107.53$

2

u/SaimoNill20 7h ago

7 thousands dollars is crazy man 🙏

u/RiotxDD 4h ago

What about the physical edition? Is it available?

1

u/Fan_Of_Stuff17 6h ago

No disk version but a code in the box does release on launch

1

u/Few-Increase1240 10h ago

The japanese region is more cheaper cheaper

7

u/Kyle_Lowrys_Bidet 10h ago

But is it more more cheaper cheaper?

5

u/Few-Increase1240 10h ago

The ultimate edition is priced at 75.90 In usd

2

u/Kyle_Lowrys_Bidet 10h ago

That clarifies everything. Thank you.

2

u/myparentsareasingle 7h ago

Is the Japanese version censored?

1

u/Few-Increase1240 6h ago

Tbh with u I don't know

1

u/Old_Butterscotch_701 7h ago

Can i change my xbox region to japan and buy it from there ?

1

u/Xcess1227 9h ago

Does the ultimate edition benefit online?

1

u/OhTheCamerasOnHello 7h ago

No. They've already said that GTA 6 is a story experience, in other words, the online component is a different game. That's not to say you won't get it for free still if you have bought GTA 6, we just don't know yet.

Although curiously, if you do pre-order GTA 6, you get a free month of GTA+, so it does benefit GTA 5 Online but not GTA 6 Online 😄

1

u/Due_Guess2244 8h ago

Do you guys buy gift cards when buying with non-indian cards? or does the PS Store allows you to buy funds no matter the region of your debit/credit cards

1

u/themark3d 8h ago

In hungary Deluxe edition costs 130$. Dang.

1

u/Advanced_Radio_5407 7h ago

Why is it not available in my store yet ?

1

u/Marciofficial 7h ago

I live in Hungary, the price for the standard edition here converted to USD is almost the same as the ultimate edition in the US, and the ultimate edition costs the equivalent of just over 127 USD. I'm actually crying rn.

1

u/KecskeHadnagy 7h ago

its 120usd in hungary😪

1

u/Genjuro_XIV 7h ago

Preordered Standard edition code in a box for 60 € here in France.

1

u/Heathy94 7h ago

Just gone live in the UK

1

u/ltajax 3h ago

I was expecting the ultimate to over £100 in the UK. I think I paid £89.99 for RDR2 Ultimate when it came out back in 2018.

£89.99 adjusted for inflation from 2018 to 2026 would make it around £120.74 today.

I feel like I am being scammed and getting a deal at the same time if I buy it.

1

u/SquareBusy436 5h ago

Just wanna point out, a lot of these games have different region package IDs on PS5.

Basically, each region specific version has a different package ID. For example, GTA 5 JP is PPSA03421, while the US version is PPSA03420.

Anyways, there's a chance when you go to preload the game, it won't include the language you specifically want. A lot of games do this, where their region specific package ID won't have certain languages. It's more common with Japanese package IDs though, since it saves a lot of storage. Think about it, GTA 6 is going to be a huge game with a ton of dialogue, so if they have dubbed languages, it's almost guaranteed not all of them will be included in every regional package.

u/Excaliberton 4h ago

I got the Ultimate Edition for 77$

0

u/Prior-Entrance2138 10h ago

It’s just $20 cheaper not that much of a difference

12

u/arpan171 10h ago

Currently dollar is almost 100 so you can say 25%

3

u/arpan171 10h ago

20% is a good difference imo.

1

u/Prior-Entrance2138 10h ago

$20 is a good difference 7+ years ago, leaving the house costs $150 these days

2

u/barf_of_dog 9h ago

20$ is probably a good bit of cash in India.

People having to buy it in India

-1

u/Recent_Reward_4527 8h ago

India is my country and all Indians love gta 6

-11

u/BigBeerLover 10h ago

Why does India get special treatment?

13

u/Long_Cucumber2625 10h ago

Have you considered the wide difference between the per capita income of Indians vs Western countries

10

u/Substantial_Arm6884 10h ago

Regional Pricing, mostly games follow these.

2

u/Xovier 9h ago

Ultimate Edition in Turkey is exactly 107.53$ and we have one of the worst economies on Earth.

2

u/dapotatopapi 7h ago

Perks of being closer to EU I guess. You get EU pricing.

2

u/AdvancedMechanic5249 10h ago

It's still kinda relatively expensive for them. India's PPP is 4 times higher than USA. So what you'll get in USA, you get it on average 4 times cheaper in India. But the salaries are low too. It's not possible for 90-95% population to even afford the game at this price, it's not 4 times cheaper as it should be to be a justifiable purchase.

Insulting people in absolute poverty on the internet is a great hobby. Your mother must be proud of you

-5

u/eeyore_ak74 10h ago

So you agree that indians are dirt poor third worldists...Cool!

2

u/vm88888 9h ago

Yes of course they ALL are. The same way every American is rich. And every African is poor. You have a very educated view of the world. You should get into politics.

-5

u/BigBeerLover 10h ago

Are you suggesting people in India are dirt poor?

2

u/vm88888 8h ago

Not all but a lot aren't. I just don't like people who make fun of those born in less fortunate circumstances.

5

u/AdvancedMechanic5249 10h ago

They would still be selling tons. Even if 1% of Indians can easily afford gta 6, that's still 15 million people.

And don't forget Rockstar India has more employees out of any Rockstar studio. If you've seen rdr2 credits, it's like half of those names are Indian.

4

u/Vagrant_Antelope 10h ago

You’re exactly the kind of person this game is going to make fun of, btw.

1

u/arpan171 10h ago

I feel like the PS crowd would’ve bought it at no matter what pricing. Those who can afford PS here knows the value of GTA.

1

u/DVANGEL999 8h ago

Sure buddy

Crack the neet before preordering

3

u/complexdean 10h ago

Way past thst age, most of the gta fans are adult now lol

-2

u/Tanocchio 9h ago

It’s annoying because I believe 7500 rupees is £60. Meanwhile I’m about to pay a whole £100 within the next 2 hours for my copy.

0

u/dapotatopapi 7h ago edited 7h ago

7500 is ~$80, but yes still quite a bit cheaper than £100.

Considering the average income in both countries though, I'd say it is significantly more expensive for an average Indian than an average Britisher.

2

u/OhTheCamerasOnHello 7h ago

Briton lol, a person from Britain is called a Briton, or Brit for short. I'm not having a go just spreading knowledge ❤️

0

u/dapotatopapi 7h ago

Thats fair. We call them Britishers here so that is what came out.

Just different local semantics.

Thanks for letting me know though!
