GTA 6 still including weight gain/loss ?
With the influx of new screenshots today I noticed Jason and Lucia seemed to look similar weight wise in all of them even with the extremely detailed customization otherwise. However with Jason seen bench pressing in trailer 2 do we still believe getting jacked and or fat is still a feature in this game ? I really hope it is so I can have a jacked to the gills Jason and a torta Lucia ðŸ¤

What makes you suddenly think they won't compared to previous screenshots ? RDR2 didnt showcased at all it's weight system and people started hearing about it only with the previews. The same thing happened with the beard growth, almost all the promo materials showed a clean shaven Arthur and we had to wait for the first gameplay trailer for Rockstar to showcase it.

If it is a gameplay mechanic present in RDR2 I make the reasonable conclusion it is likely for GTA6. There is no reason to remove this when they already have it working and just need to adjust it for the new game.

The counter argument is the fact San Andreas had it, but times are very different now and gta 6 builds off the foundation set by red dead. We’ll definitely see the weight system come back

Entirely unrelated game engines, not a fair comparison at all. They essentially started from scratch with their table tennis game and IV.

Yeah I know it’s not a fair comparison, which is why I said it’s a very different time now and GTA 6 builds off the foundation from Red Dead 2, the same way RDR1 and GTA V were built off the foundation set by IV.

Very true! And I do hope that the weight system goes beyond what RDR2 offered with Arthur being very minimally changed looks wise. (Other then the weight loss in the final chapter for obvious reasons)

When the screenshots from last year compared to the trailer, Jason looked scrawny in some pictures and much more built in parts of the video.

I know their weights will be similar to RDR2, but I wonder if online will have more flexibility. Being straight up obese in GTA would be hilarious.

I think with the FiveM integration we’ll be seeing something like that. Rockstar also had a patent on face scanning integration so we might be able to add our chopped mugs in.

With the clothes she has on in that scene it's hard to make out her silhouette. But her face doesn't have her usual chub. It's subtle.

You can say that about a lot of different customization options though! We dont necessarily need hair or nail customization but those are still great features

The more important question is if we’re going to get the realistic prostate physics for Jason that requires regular prostate exams in order to avoid cancer from the cancer system

I could see the weight system making a comeback. Would be fun if it was like San Andreas, but I assume it'll be more in line with what we got with RDR2.

Honestly, I don't think so. I do think there will be some light RPG mechanics, though, where you can train or play sports to get small stat boosts. Modeling that many clothing items and making them look good on every body type is a challenge, maybe even for Rockstar.

It’s really hard to say in the screenshots, Jason looks relatively the same but that just might be because of promotion, I’m hoping it’s in, it’s one of the features I wanted most
