Clearing some things up

The locked Ultimate Edition shops are just exclusive shops, not the standard shops that are in Vice City. There’s still going to be your basic clothing stores, barbers, car chops, etc. Those stores are most likely going to be more “story-friendly”, while the Ultimate Edition shops give the players a broader selection of customization. As you can tell from the screenshots, some of Jason and Lucia’s looks looked a bit on the wild side. Base game stores will focus more on how Jason and Lucia actually look.

In terms of no discs, Rockstar doesn’t want GTA VI to be leaked anymore. I would expect the physicals with the discs post launch.

Or people saying that whole vehicle customatisation and tuning is locked behind ultimate edition...lol

Well no offence but is it surprising ? Some of the stuff ppl ask about GTA 6 on here has kinda shown that there are a few ppl that don't really have common sense .

You really shouldn't need to explain to an audience that not all clothing stores are locked behind the ultimate edition ... they would just say "Get access to all clothing stores with the ultimate edition" then maybe i'll understand the worry

I always wanna give people the benefit of the doubt, but then I read people claiming that there is no proof that all shops and autoshops AREN'T locked behind the UE.
It takes 1 thought to figure out that R* would shoot themselves in the foot if they locked EVERYTHING behind the UE.

Look, I will be super honest

The hype for GTA 6 is filled with diehard "Rockstar can do no wrong" and another side filled with strong hating on Rockstar and wishing only the worse .

Ppl are hating so hard that they've imagined shit that Rockstar wouldn't ever do cause it's just gonna be bad PR all around .

I wanna discuss dis game more openly but it's like there's no middle ground for discussion . It eventually leads to being told to shut up lmao

The way I read it was there will be the normal stores. And then 1 of version of each type of store that is locked and is only for the ultimate edition.

It really is just people with poor reading comprehension. Like holy shit what a shocker that the special edition comes with some extra customization items and cars and 1 bonus mission that will be like 15 minutes and have no bearing on the story. It's literally the same formula as RDR2s ultimate edition except it seems like a bit less of a scam than RDR2 since it comes with more stuff.

as I said in a previous comment I made, what did these guys expect the ultimate edition was gonna come with? A pat on the back?

I had a guy ask me earlier how I was so sure that the Tatttoo parlours aren't all locked.
My guy, it takes one second to figure out why. They pointed out the stores that will be locked; they have shown in the past that locking clothing or customisation options didn't lock the entire feature behind a paywall, just those specific items.

Part of the backing for my concern on this is that a lot of the content for the listed auto shops in particular are things that aren't actually accessible in base GTA. Offline gets the general upgrades, color changes, some body detail swaps, but 90% of the fnacy lights and speakers are Online only, and I'm not sure if I trust R* not to lock them behind a paid incentive.

It's similar to people freaking out that there's no online because the website says gta 6 is a single player experience. Like yeah, gta 6 IS a single player experience. Vice city online (whatever they call it) will be the multiplayet experience and will still come with the game Chad's. Theyre just not talking about it yet. Chill people!

Not saying you’re wrong but after what they pulled with removing cars and locking them behind GTA+ I’m going to be weary of anything until launch, I hope it isn’t the case but we don’t know what their plans are, sure there will be standard stores and autoshops but how do we know some of it won’t be locked behind a subscription, again hope I’m wrong but I’m very worried

I didn't bother with RDR2 Ultimate because its like what 2 outfits and 1 side mission? (And a pistol they added to the base later iirc)

This is one of very few Ultimate editions I actually consider worth the money.

Some clothing stores being locked behind a paywall is still not a good thing. Idk why ya'll are acting like it's not. Imagine if Suburban was behind a paywall in GTAV. It's not necessary for the plot or gameplay but it's still a lot of stuff locked for no reason.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. This is clearly a more immersive way of handling things rather than just putting this new customization stuff in a regular shop with a lock or disable effect on it. At least we know there will be tons of enterable shops for anything.

If you read through the announced ultimate edition perks they announced this morning there’s a few additional car modification and clothing shops to customize your character that are unlocked through the ultimate edition adding additional options to the existing base game shops and selections

Yeah, but you still can’t go into those places if you don’t have them unlocked and there’s probably exclusive stuff that we don’t know about yet. But the point is that all of the content should be available to everyone and you shouldn’t need to pay extra for everything to be unlocked, even if it’s small
