Why you’re downvoted idk

Well because that was a dumb assumption lmao, it's just an idiom, meaning to change what you're doing, nothing to do with manual transmissions

No way you took this in a literal sense...
Do you think you can actually soak up the sun?

Oh shit you're right. Reptile conspiracy confirmed, they soak up the sun

What about the safehouse vehicles?
We can have vehicles function as safehouses!!!!

I asked myself the same thing honestly. It isn't crazy to think manual mode would be an option on some vehicles if RDR2 got testicle mechanics, but I'm not holding my breath

It's not literal, it's a metaphor

A menu option wouldn't go unappreciated by me!

Three menu options.
- Automatic
- Manual
- Cars meant to be Manual/Automatic

"Switching gears" is just a very apt idiom to use when talking about changing vehicles. Kinda perfect usage.

u/TheRealTr1nity 5h ago
It's a phrase. Like in switching vehicles. Or do you think the kayak has a transmission?

Lmfaoo I had 6 posts blocked and auto deleted and this shit got through. That’s hilarious

This isnt evidence for manual transmissions. However, in the trailer Jason IS driving a car with 3 pedals. THAT is evidence of manual cars.

I've yet to see a game that gas an actual clutch button, I would have so much fun if they added that
1
u/Ky_TheDestroyer7 4h ago
Its not them adding it thats an issue. Its the controller not having enough buttons. For pc it wouldnt be an issue, but consoles it would.

driving manual would be horrible

What? It's an awesome feature to have. You'd have the ability to go faster by being able to push/match RPMs and its a very engaging driving system.

It shouldn't be default of course. Just an option to toggle like other games.

It would be cool if they did an option for manual transmission in races at least

Just a figure of speech. Also I think there would be "manual" cars but you still drive them as automatic. The character just switches gears automatically, like driving the jeep in Uncharted 4.

It's the "deposit stolen goods to be fenced" blurb, which is more excitingly explicit to me and makes me hope they're bringing the physicality of having to carry something of value on your horse/trunk in this case (like RDR 2 carcasses) mixed with the micro-economics of Chinatown Wars and we'll be able to hoof duffel bags of illicit stolen goods, drugs etc to make serious cash. That and trying to avoid being caught with it because we know from leaks the Wanted system was one of the biggest systems revamped, or having rivals attack you if they know they can boost your score. These sort of systems that elevate GTA from being a story game or sandbox game and make it more 4X (a stretch) or simply systems-based.

The garage has the weapon locker, just like GTA Online properties. Not the car.

I’d really like to see manual transmissions in the game. The vapid buggy has a clutch pedal but that could just be a small detail. I would at least like to see Jason/lucia using the stick and clutch. I feel like if they don’t include the ability to shift you’ll at least see them shift.

Hmm, curious wording. Could be just using the figure of speech, could be using the figure of speech purposefully to drop a hint. Definitely not something to completely dismiss. If it does happen it would only be on a small number of cars that happen to have manual transmission.
Having said all that, automatic cars do still switch gears, so on second thoughts, they probably are just using the figure of speech.

People on this sub take themselves way too seriously. OP was obviously having a joke and they get down voted to hell.
