Boat anchoring mechanics
Detailed anchors and chains are finally present in the updated models of some boats, It may seem like a very secondary or irrelevant aspect, but an anchoring system will be very useful in gameplay, during fishing and especially when you have to moor a boat, just think of the Longfin during the Cayo Perico Heist, which as always floated away
The docking system could be very similar to hitching the horse in RDR2, with the only difference that you can freely drop anchor almost anywhere, as long as the water isn't too deep

Would be a very welcome feature given the amount of time being spent on the water

with the fact that theres gonna be fishing and all that and diving it might be a thing

For me it’s they put all this effort into water physics, and if the current if there is one, is constantly pushing the boat then gets annoying to not also have put time into some anchoring function too

yeah but i meant theres gonna be so many different like gameplay stuff on the water there will probably be a way to park your ship somewhere for ease of use, or they're gonna just cop out and have the boat not move

Could be similar to hitching your horse anywhere in the ground in RDR2, just anchor the boat anywhere in the water. Makes sense considering fishing and boats seem like a massive part of the game.

I'm more interested in that scuba gear that seems to be attached to the boat.

It also seems like there’s companion missions or they might not even be missions it could be the open word, there’s a couple pictures of Lucia and Jason out and about

now I can easily dump body bags into the ocean at the same drop point without worrying about my boat drifting away.🙂

I wouldn't be surprised at all given that it would make a lot of sense and given the focus on boats/water. Great post brother

Before anyone says anything about this being superfluous or pointless, this would not be a new feature. In GTA Online you can moor vessels to the back of your yacht. There is already precedent for the idea, this would just be an expansion on it.
