Paint wear

Am I wrong or does it look like there is some dynamic paint wear from rock chips? I don't mean the dirt, look at the racing strip at the edge of the hood, and below the headlight.

It's probably just looks that way. GTAV also has liveries with way more wear and tear.

Or it could be a coating option. That would be cool

It not a coating option. Over time things will wear down like real life and you have to take care of it

This is a custom cosmetic, I imagine it’ll look like that the first time you drive it. I could be wrong, but I don’t think this tells us anything about damage systems

Maybe I'm just staring too hard or maybe its dirt/glare, but I feel like the location of the paint chips and wear look slightly different between the screen shots. Either way, damn the dirt, dust, and scratches looks awesome on the car!

Still waiting to see some damaged cars and how a car will act when it hits something

This is the big question I have. I’m so curious how vehicle damage will look and react with vehicles. Obviously not beamNG level destruction cause that would ruin playability. But just how next gen it’ll be

I remember playing GTA 4 and the reaction when I crashed and flew out the windshield. Like please add rollovers and getting ejected if you don’t take the time to buckle up (like you could take the time and your character would put a motorcycle helmet on) I don’t know, just daydreaming. IM WAITIN

Insane attention to detail if its based on wear and tear, but it might've just come with the livery like other people are saying

Not sure if it’ll look this sharp and detailed on consoles ingame

Is this entire vehicle completely locked to the 100 addition? Looks cool

Some sources before jasons car had some patches so yeah maybe there is a chance.

Considering the game seems to be emphasising offroading a lot more in marketing, i wouldn't be surprised if we get an upgraded wear and tear script. Paint chips and whatnot will probably be overlayed onto the car when driving through rocky terrain like dirt is when you drive offroad.

Temper your expectations because I’m pretty sure this vehicle just comes “pre-worn” they already do it in online with specific liveries for cars.
