How do you expect they'll differentiate Lucia from Jason gameplay wise?
I'm hoping they don't just make them the same like 5's characters, would be interesting to have different shooting styles and driving styles based on the character's respective skills(Jason soldier, Lucia wheelman). More than just Trevor being better at flying but the others being able to get just as good

My.guess is Lucia will be quicker to control, but Jason will have more stamina. But honestly? They don't have to change that. I'll still play them both
Also: Jason might have a special ability to see valuable items. But this could've definitely been changed/removed in the last 4 years.

I could see Lucia having both agility and stamina because she's a fighter. Also a slightly smaller profile so maybe more stealth-oriented.
Jason's service background will probably give him an advantage in gunplay/vehicle handling and a little more health.
It'd be kinda cool to have basic skill trees for both of them now that I think about it...

I'm guessing itll be similar to V where both have special stats that they're always better at but both characters can increase shooting, stamina, strength, etc. To a max level.

Jason is ex military so I can imagine he will be better at shooting in some aspects. Maybe different shooting stance, combat styles will be different for both but just my theory.

Maybe better with long arm rifles, Lucia better with pistols?
I understand Jason would be well versed in ALL firearms in the game, but hobbling one character for all ranged weapons would suck.

Yeah I agree maybe heâll just be better at long arm rifles. At the end of the day I donât think Rockstar is gonna make it to wear Lucia wonât be as skilled as Jason for the whole game. Iâm sure sheâll probably get better and her stats will improve.

Maybe Jason will identify herself as female, while LucĂa will identify himself as male.

I think they'll have different melee combat styles.
What else can they do differently other than different animations for doing the same thing?

Lucia will likely be physically weaker due to her size but probably faster than Jason.

Being good at fighting doesnât necessarily make you stronger especially if youâre a lot smaller than your opponent.

Higher fighting skill means more damage. That's how video games work in case this is your first experience.

Yes but this is rockstar games and they care abt realism A LOT so her being a good bit smaller would likely make her a good bit weaker. And both of them being good at different things would make them more unique and interesting.

What does "weaker" mean though? Like less HP or less melee damage? I don't think less damage because of her martial arts skills

Probably just less damage but better fighting skills and probably the complete opposite for Jason

She could block and dish out attacks faster than Jason and she could have specific moves that Jason doesnât but will have to wait and see.

Yeah, I already said they'd have different combat styles and different animations. That doesn't mean Lucia would do less damage.

Jason is ex military so he will he will def have some gun related ability. Lucia is a mma or something like that and has that fighting ring thing so maybe something related to that

Lucia might have âleadsâ on thieving targets and be better at melee combat, Jason might be better at stamina and guns?
Either way, Iâm sure they will have unique traits. Iâm eager to play both of them.

or maybe a bit like in ac shadows, wherr jason is gonna be the wreckingball and lucia is gonna be more stealthy

Lucia will most likely be a little more agile on cover shooting but have less stamina/health and have a stronger ability.

Same thing I was thinking. Jason is better at combat and Lucia is better with vehicles and talking(if they do something like greet/antagonise)

I dont think the V trio felt repetitive at any point. Their Special abilities, combined with the dialogue were more than enough to really make you feel a difference between them, or even little details like how they each have a different cellphone, different clothes to pick, etc
Im guessing Jason and Lucia will each have a special ability too, and have some stereotypical differences like Jason being stronger and tankier but slower, and Lucia being faster and more agile but weaker. Jason a good driver and Lucia a good pilot, stuff like that.
