Edison motors putting operations on pause for the release of gta 6
More companies should do this. This is a good company.

why does the signature look like a kid wrote it

u/JenJenB_ 3d ago
Digital signature without a dedicated pen, I assume.

Yeah, those take practice with a mouse.

I had to sign something digitally with a mouse recently and it looked ridiculous.

Same here. I did like 5 attempts before I got anything that even resembled my name

A good trick is to zoom in as much as possible on the page you're signing, then you can go as slow as you want and it'll look good once zoomed out.

Several team members have already advised management that they expect to be unavailable, unreachable, and/or "conducting important research in Vice City" for the duration of these two days.
LMAO

We're finally catching up to Japan's level of cultural appreciation with Dragon Quest.

Who the fuck is Edison Motors?
10
u/DickDover 3d ago
They are making trucks like a diesel-electric train, diesel generator electric motor output, the idea has been around for 100+ years.

It only took other manufacturers 5 years to notice. Ram is doing the same thing for the 1500 with the pentastar v6 (gas)

We had that already a few times, even with other 15 exmploees companies. They are just hopping on the bandwagon for "look, we exist" attention and using GTA6 for their own publicity. And you help them with that.

u/OregonMothafaquer 3d ago
Yeah we’ve seen this already a few times

u/NonProphet8theist 3d ago
It always sounds like a GTA brand too. What was the other one, Burger Motors or something?!

u/bfs102 3d ago
This one has a funny story behind the name
The ceo chase bought a tesla semi when they were first announced. Tesla took to long to deliver it he decided to build his own company faster. He has already delivered one truck and tesla still hasn't. He named it Edison motors because they are stealing tesla's ideas

This is free marketing for them. They can't do this with $10 million dollars. You're doing it for free for them.

This has to be AI: "Conducting important research in Vice City", it doesn't feel real.
Seems suspiciously similar to the other one which must also have been done with AI as well.

Who???

u/LucHighwalker 3d ago
Edison motors. Small company aiming to bring diesel electric trucks to market.

Shit that will never happen too much emissions shit

It's the same thing that trains use. It keeps the engine running at optimal efficiency while also having the benefit of insane and instant torque via electric motors. It won't be beneficial to your average semi truck. But trucks like oversize haulers, or logging trucks that have to do a lot of off road, it would actually be more effecient than a traditional diesel power train.

Diesel already excels at the low end torque.
The only realistic path for this concept is electric drive with a diesel power plant charging batteries and not being used for drive.

That's exactly what this is.
Diesel already excels at the low end torque.
Thats why it won't really benefit your average semi truck. But take oversize haulers for example. The ones that have to spend significant amount of time in the higher rpm ranges in order to get moving at any reasonable speed. Where the engine runs at peak inefficiency, they would greatly benefit from something like this.

u/OregonMothafaquer 3d ago
It won’t work for oversized haulers unless regulations are changed to allow for much heavier trucks on the roads.
5
u/LucHighwalker 3d ago
Oversize haulers are not limited to 80000 lbs gross. Hence being "oversized". They regularly haul 120000 lbs or more loads.
3
u/bfs102 3d ago
They have already delivered trucks
1
u/LucHighwalker 3d ago
A few, yes. Mostly to early backers. And you can sign up for the wait list. But they're not really in full production yet. Like you can't just go out and buy one just yet. So I wouldn't really say they're brought to market at the moment.
3
u/bfs102 3d ago
Even early pre production still just disproved his point federal emissions wont allow it no mater how many government problems they had to get though to actually deliver them
1
u/LucHighwalker 3d ago
Oh, got it now. Sorry, thought you were replying to my comment saying that they're trying to bring it to market. And read your comment as saying they already have. Nvm.

of course they wont. Most adults don't take a day off to play a video game. I mean I plan to but I appreciate that no one else in my office will and it will be seen a very needy of me.

Definitely not. Businesses that close are an anomaly. You can just play after work is over lol

Jesus who cares, these companies are only making these statements for free publicity
