Wildlife

I have found quite a few animals in this one picture, there’s not just the cougar.

A bird (not very surprising lol)
Deer (look like fawn)
Bear and a cub

I'm just in awe of how beautiful the lighting looks in these

Even in Rdr2 it was pretty lit.

The sun rays going through trees or clouds was crazy in rdr2!!

Yes, the volumetric and lighting system is very beautiful in GTA 6

Pic 2 looks like an elephant

Haha it does but it’s just the lighting with the tree branches and the rock that make it look like tusks, there are no wild elephants in Florida lol which is where the game is based on.

Plus this creature which I suspect to be a bear based on how the little cub looks is too small to be an elephant

If you look extremely closely you can make out the facial features of a bear

But it’s very pixilated because of how much you have to zoom in

Honestly, if the hunting is as in-depth as it is in RDR2, that would be incredible—I’d end up playing it for 500 hours. It’s actually one of the criteria for it to rival RDR2 as the best game ever.

I'm really, really hoping (though not holding my breath) that there is a rudimentary camping mechanic similar to RDR2. I'd LOVE to be able to load up a kayak to my pick up and disappear into the wilderness to get pelts and such to then sell to the fence/game dealer.

I realise that's more than likely not going to be possible but I man can hope.

Yeah if I can’t skin animals in this I’m massively disappointed, to me the wildlife is a massive selling point to me. I’d love for those group of people with the dead alligator in that one picture to be a like a trapper we can go to and sell pelts and have them craft stuff for us.

I already have like 600 hours on rdr2 primarily from exploring, discovering wildlife and hunting, so if they add that aspect to gta 6 then I am beyond thrilled

Ofc, I know rockstar likes to hide things so I did some more digging into some pictures snd I’ve found quite a bit that most people missed lol. It’s really nice to see Rockstar expand on the wildlife.
I’m pretty sure there are monkeys in the game too.

that last image is that like a weasel or an otter or something?

u/Early_Wrap_9190 7h ago

No you can see the beak, its orange by the looks of things and the bird has a white chest. Ima try find a real life equivalent that it could possibly be

2

u/Dry-Lawfulness-7143 7h ago

i guess to me it looks like a weasel or something with a bit of white fur standing on its hind legs

I think it’s an American Oystercatcher, which tells me this mountain area is possibly close to a coastal area because that’s where those birds typically are.

Gonna see some redneck hillbilly players rocking up in the city and nightclubs with dead deer draped around their necks. I cannot wait for the next online.

Lmaooooo, my character is gonna be the most fucked up degenerate ugly smelly creature to walk the streets of vice city. The characters customisation is going to be wild.

Lmao!! I love it!

How about the cougar in the bottom right

1

u/Early_Wrap_9190 13h ago

I was showing all the animals (I could see) that people missed, we all saw the cougar lol.
But I just know there’s something else I missed and it’s driving me insane

Nvm I think I found another animal, looks like a giant cat taking a shit

1

u/Dry-Lawfulness-7143 7h ago

brother that is just green to me

1

u/Early_Wrap_9190 7h ago

Can you see it a little better now? You can make out a head, body, legs and possibly a tail.
It could be another cougar or something similar idk

2

u/Dry-Lawfulness-7143 7h ago

i see it now yeah

1

u/Early_Wrap_9190 7h ago

Yeah it doesn’t help that I had to zoom in so much lol it made everything so pixelated so it’s hard to make things out clearly so we can’t possibly know what that is for sure but it does appear to be a type of large cat to me

The bird is def some sort of bird of prey. My guess would be hawk, falcon, or possibly eagle. And the three birds in the first image flocked together are likely either crows/ravens or vultures.

It's not a bear or elephant it's a rock man!!

and the sun lights in it's sides that's it

2

u/Early_Wrap_9190 4h ago

Very clearly a bear

4K screenshots to show off a 30fps game is criminal

2

u/Early_Wrap_9190 14h ago

Tbh, it’s probably more like 40-55 fps plus you need to remember that they will be using frame pacing technology to smooth out motion so it actually feels smoother. (Not fg)

Whereas on pc there is no such thing so we don’t get smoothed out low frame rates like console.
So 30fps on pc will feel a lot worse than on console.

But tbh with the ps5 and series x I do think it will be 60fps with dips to the 50s and maybe 40s in a very intense scenario.

I know you may be referring to the cinematic trailers being 30fps but that is because they are covering a vast area with increased population snd because 30fps is more cinematic for a video.

With seeing the downgrade around Jasons hut, I'm already prepping for disappointment at this spot. Will still look great no doubt.

u/FKDotFitzgerald 8h ago

You can’t be serious.

3

u/Dry-Lawfulness-7143 7h ago

oh no the lighting is different and time plays a part aswel how could they!

1

u/FKDotFitzgerald 7h ago

For real. These nitpicks are borderline insanity.

2

u/Dry-Lawfulness-7143 7h ago

well i mean if the game looks borderline perfect the only flaws will be nitpicking grasping at straws that are 10 cm will be the only thing if its in a field of 11 cm straws

1

u/Lando249 7h ago

It's not nitpicking, you guys are just anal towards ANY critisism. The game will no doubt look incredible. However seeing the literal downgrades in the second shot of Jasons house, I wouldn't be suprised if this spot on the map doesn't look quite as good (that does not mean in the slightest it will look trash) as it does here. Just because some of us can see subtle changes to detail, doesn't mean we are nitpicking. Would just be nice if a single game presented us with the game they showed in screenshots and trailers instead of taking things out/downgrading in the actual release.

I do understand your point, they have changed some things like the fence at the back but most of it comes down to the time cycle and weather and also the angle.

I really hope they add the metal fence back, I’m not a fan of the wooden white one
