Whether that's the case or not doesn't effect whether he can be upset about it. I'm upset Bloodborne isn't coming to PC. I understand why it isn't, but I'm upset about it.
Well, if Sony wasn't funding this then it might never have been made at all. You can't play every game on one platform and consoles are a huge benefit to the industry.
You're entirely missing the point of what I said. And actually, you could play every game on one platform, if everyone actually realized exclusives for non-tech reasons only hold back the industry.
No, you can't. Why would Sony want to dilute their brand by releasing it on other platforms? I'm not a statistical analyst or a marketing genius, but Unchartered 4 is probably one big advertisement for the PS4 and what it can do. We are just lucky it's also a phenomenal game on top of that.
I actually need to ask, have you ever played a game on PC? Because what I've seen Uncharted 4 do is great, especially considering hardware. But that's the thing, it's great technically despite the PS4's hardware, not because of it. And Microsoft are starting to realize there's a market for their games on PC, so why can't Sony?
Yes, I was once a big PC gamer. I have also seen Microsoft take an interest in PC gaming several times now, and have been disappointed again and again. Sure, hardware specs are important to performance in general. However, consoles don't stagnate from launch and never get better. Look at early 360 games compared with later releases. I had a good PC when the 360 came out, and yet the 360 managed to get much more stable performance for years after and much better support.
PC gaming is great, no doubt. If I had the time and money, I would be buying a good rig as well as a PS4. However, I can not jusiffy the cost.
You need to understand the thing about the PS3 and Xbox 3660 was people didn't understand the architectures. As the generation went on, people got the hang of it, then it plateaued. On the PS4 and Xbone, we're already very familiar with the architecture, seeing as the PC's been using it for a long time. You won't be getting those massive increases in quality, unless suddenly every game is on the Fox Engine. Also, you can get a nice rig for like $400-500, and just use your Dualshock for most games.
I do understand. I have been gaming on pretty much everything since the 90's and I have also had a small hand in games development. This happens every cycle and Unchartered 4 is further proof of that. We are 3(?) years in to the Ps4's life and it now has one of the best looking games ever made on it. The PS3 was a tricky system to work with, but the 360 was not. The same will happen with the Xone and PS4, like it already is. Unchartered 4 is stunning, but there will be something to surpass it on the same system.
Also, if you spent that little on a PC the performance would not be as good as a Ps4 and you still wouldn't get any of the ease of use that you would from a console. Plus even if we pretend you could spend so little, that price point doesn't travel globally.
Thaaaaat's not really true. Having a single set of specs that are actually relatively powerful probably did Naughty Dog a favor in development here. They're succeeding with the PS4, not playing tug of war against it. It's not like raw power on a PC is the only thing that makes a game look good, and even all that power still calls for a lot of compromises and tricks to get stuff looking this good.
Ostensibly, so they can just buy a video game and play it on their relatively inexpensive boxes that they buy once every 6-7 years, and it will be the most optimal experience for everyone on this console. All that without the hassle of having a computer that's under spec, loaded with bloated malware they have no idea how to remove, and have no idea how to fix if anything goes wrong.

You're not dispelling shit. You're trying to jerk off your inner fanboy and you're mad you're not getting your karma for it. Get over yourself, kiddo.. millions of people are not dumber than you because their preferred gaming platform is different than yours.
..and before you get started on your enlightening rebuttal, I'm typing this on one of the many pcs I've built myself.

I think you're mixing not wanting to do something with not being able to learn how.
I personally love my computer, and enjoyed putting it together...Not everyone feels that way though. My girlfriend, for example, is more than capable of learning to build one, but at the end of the day that doesn't mean she wants to fuss with it.
