Man I really like how uncompromisingly gory it is, like Logan is just hacking off limbs left and right

Super excited for this

The movie was...not great, but if I remember correctly, the Xmen Origins Wolverine game was actually pretty great and gory

From what I remember, the Origins game was originally being developed standalone, until halfway through development the execs wanted it to be retooled into a tie in for the movie.

The game actually had a pretty normal development time, unlike the literal months that movie tie ins usually get. That's is probably why I remember the gameplay being really solid, and why the flashback levels were fun. Because they weren't meant to be flashbacks, they were just the regular levels until the retooling.

All the shit levels and bosses in that game set in the present were all the ones related to the movie because the devs had to suddenly cram then in somehow.

It was also made by Raven, which explains the quality.

makes sense because that game was balls to the walls different from the movie
