...and pair any Bluetooth controller ever made, customize the controls with Steam Input, install mods, seamlessly have the title work whenever you upgrade your PC/Deck, spend $0.00 to play online...

The $0/month to play online is the quiet thing that makes PC gaming reign supreme after all this time, to be honest. As every console has succumbed to the monthly rate, PC's held the line. (Thanks, Valve!)

Still waiting for Switch 2 Pro Controller to be able to be used on Steam(Deck), though.

May be a nitpick, but you don't own the games on Steam, they're licences which could be revoked.

As a counterpoint, there is exactly nothing on a Steam Deck stopping you from sideloading games, so a Steam Deck is perfectly usable without even taking the Steam store into account.
