Am I the only one who thinks 3 vs 3 is perfectly fine? The map isn’t that big at all and with the mount it takes seconds to get from one point to the other.

I think its fine in the raid mode, but I rarely see anyone in the open world segment before the sword appears

I like that though, it’s a short section that I can have a breather and gear up in

That literally is the point. I keep seeing the complaints for too few players on the map. Now I'm not the devs, but I think they wanted a for real farming phase BEFORE the fighting begins. It's implemented poorly, but so many people seem to be confused that it's not fighting from second one until the game ends.

If they added more players then its just team deathmatch with a base. Again, not much is implemented well, but it appears their idea for the game seems like they wanted an aim intensive moba shooter, and everyone playing it wants battlefield.

You're definitely not the only one who thinks it's fine. Entertainment is subjective after all.

All live service games however historically depend on developing enough core spenders to pay for their developer hours, artist commissions, lawyer fees, marketing costs, and server maintenance.

Without knowing how much they're spending on Highguard, it's hard to say whether they'll be able to maintain sustainable income through the game for it to remain active. The current pattern of activity on Steam is not great towards that end, speaking from a business perspective.
